Wizards Vs Cavs - The Rivarly Reborn... Part II

Post#1 » by hands11 » Sat Jul 19, 2014 5:40 pm

Well I am looking forward to playing them. Looks like a real war. The Rivalry Part II

Expecting the Love for Wiggins and Bennett deal to go through, this is what we have.

Kyrie/Dellavadova
Waiters/Jones/Felix
Lebron/Miller
Love/Thompson/D Powell
Varajeo/B Haywood/ONeil ??

vs

Wall/Miller/Temple
Beal/Webster/Glen
Paul/Otto
Nene/Hump/Gooden
Gortat/Blair/Kevin

Lots of stories with in the story.

Wall vs Kryie
Beal vs Waiters
LeBron vs PP
Love vs Nene

Those are some good battles.

They have us beat at SG guard. Kyrie and Waiter will play more like two shooting guards and I like Della as depth. But we run a different system then they do. Wall is the better PG and Kryie is going to have problems defending that. Plus, now Kyrie has to adjust. How will they share the ball on offense with Kyrie, LeBron, Love and Waiters. They are going to have to work that out. I expect LeBron will do a good job of step in and out as needed to help it adjust. But I think Kyrie will have some issues adjusting. I like our Wall/Beal combo better but with Webster hurt and Glen raw, I like their depth better. But I also like our D better. Ray Allen to either team could tip the scales.

LeBron being the best player in the league right now is an advantage over PP but LeBron vs PP is a long standing rivalry. Thats going to be awesome. And while PP is 34 and slowing down, LeBron is now almost 30 and has slowed down some as well. I think Otto would give Miller problems because he defends well and will close out with his length. M Miller is 34 now and he does tend to get injured.

Love/Thompson/D Powell vs Nene, Hump, Blair and Gooden. Well, lets just say I don't think Love is going to have and easy go of things under the hoop. Thats a war right there. Nene doesn't back down from anyone. But Love can rome outside where Nene can't follow. But we now have Hump to put on Thompson. Plus Gooden. I like our chances. Love is clearly a match up problem on offense. With out added beef, Nene can afford to trim down a few pounds now if he wants. Hopefully he does.

Mop head /Haywood vs Gortat and the boys. The Mop is a tall talented defensive player if he can stay healthy. But he rarely does that. This is the team Achilles heal. We match up well when they are healthy. But if they get Mop injured, thats a hole. Maybe they still add ONeil.

They should have the advantage on offense spreading us out with Love playing outside. I don't think their offense will have an easy time getting into the paint against us at all while I think our offense will be able to get in the paint against theirs. Any team that has LeBron and Love should be tough on offense. If they can figure out how to mix with Kyrie, even tougher. Thats a lot of scoring power.

But I like our overall team defense better then theirs. And they have huge injuries concerns at center.

I think they obviously get the advantage until proven differently, but I'm not conceding anything. I think these games are going to be real battles and awesome to watch. And the history is there against LeBron. And now you add the PP vs Lebron history to go with the Wall vs Kyrie and Beal and Waiters a pick apart form each other.

Plus B Haywood used to be a big part of our team. And Miller played here a year. All kind of story lines. Adding Ray Allens names into the mix is just one more thing.

The NBA is going to have a field day with this. I expect Nationally Televised.

In Breaking News

Wizards did not pick up QO on Booker. Quick. Someone start a thread.

And your other Cav's thread where you often change the name of the thread wouldn't have worked for this topic?

A Cavs board. Hell no. Wizards aren't conceding anything.

I felt we were making up ground on MIA and I was looking forward to taking them on after beating IND.
Now the target has just moved.

Gortat is going to be dusting up his best 300 speech.

Tomorrow I expect.

I don't think he is going to GS. Not the way there new front office is thinking.
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nb ... /12876193/

Cleveland is willing to give up two #1 picks in Wiggins and Bennett and Bennett looks in good shape this summer.
LeBron is there putting the pressure on to get it done while GS front office is not solid on the idea.
Love wants to play with LeBron.

What do you think is going to happen ?

And if they don't get Love, we are going to sweep them this season.

When LeBJ's involved, you can talk about the future in the past tense. It's the temporal equivalent to speaking of yourself in the third person.

What's so special about having a rivalry with the Cavs. Even if they have LeBron they're so ho hum. Rather have one with Chicago. Boston or Miami. No one even talks about that city and other than Cavs fans and no one else is even hyped up to see them play.
