Because its irrelevant, do you deny that they are in the locker room and don't go to the practices? You have a skewed definition of media

No, if I didn't work for a living I could to the same stuff. They are bloggers. Even gambo, when he mentions bright side articles, he calls them bloggers.

The roster hasn't improved. In fact there is a slight reduction in talent. Tolliver isn't going to fill frye's shoes. There is a reason no team wanted him and he basically is getting paid
Nothing. He just isn't any good.

If Bledsoe returns, there is no doubt that the roster is MORE talented than it was last year.

You're thinking of the old Channing Frye, before he missed an entire year. There isn't anyone associated with basketball who would argue that Channing Frye in 2014 is more talented than Isaiah Thomas.

And that's without mentioning Warren.

I think a lot of people really under estimate the effect Frye had on the team last year.

That's what i am saying. There is no coincidence that upon his return we immediately improved.

....No one is asking for the team to be built around Isaiah Thomas. Its silly to say that having a player that can score 20 ppg in the NBA can not propel a team in a bench role.

If you truly think Phoenix is building their team around Isaiah Thomas, then I can definitively say one thing right now: This conversation isn't going anywhere.

Ok, now your just getting silly. Again king makes no money, is not associated with with any "legit" sports site (sorry bright side is not a legit sports site), he has no sources, and has way more time than any of us. But if it makes u feel good, his blogs are quite entertaining.

Anyway next topic.

Don't trade him.
Just keep your offer or let him accept that QO.
Trading him means teams will be dumping big salary back.

Can't believe bledsoe though. I see his twitter says starting SG at Kentucky...now back to playing PG.
He probably not diggin the pg duties with goran.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

No one has suggested that Phoenix is building their team around Thomas. In fact, I challenge you to provide where I suggested anything of the sort. The ball is in your court, let's see what you can (or can't) do.

You realize those people are technically considered media members and given badges right? They are not just fans and bloggers talking out of their ass like we do on this site

Thomas replaces Smith...and he is certainly better. He is a complimentary player.
What about that is hard to understand ?

We improved immediately because we got rid of a lot of garbage (Beasley, Shannon brown, Marshall, scola) and we added talent with Bledsoe and got quality role players in plumlee/green. Also dragic and keef took drastic steps forward in their development.

Frye was a 7 footer who made 3s. The guy was an awful rebounder and only played defense every other game. Not to mention he never stepped foot in the paint. I think he's a good teammate but I really think he was the reason We missed the playoffs last year

The contract will be structured to maximize cap space this year within the rules allowing the Suns flexibility down the road. Also, will be the dollars that makes it easier to retain Dragic next summer.

I think he will probably end up around there too. He can't really have TOO much of a declining contract though, at least from day one if he gets 52, because the max first year he can get is 13.7. http://basketball.realgm.com/nba/info/salary_cap

The max you can decline per year is 7.5% I believe, so if we declined by that each year, the final year would be around 10.8 for a total of just under 49 for 4 years.

If we declined 4% a year, he would make a little over 12 in his final year, and the total 4 year deal comes out to around 51.6. 3.5% reductions each year might be the way to go if we agree on 52, and the final year of his four year deal would be 12.3.

You could mess with it in other ways like 1% drops the first two years and 7.5% in the final year I suppose, but you can't really go like 20-14-9-9 or anything like that.

Return to Phoenix Suns
