That's a smart coach exploiting something a player does very well. That's a coach using his noggin. Steve Clifford deserved a medal for that.

I haven't seen anything about Hamilton being cut, so he might be a third center, but I suspect he was cut for salary purposes. I guess we'll know soon enough.

Boozer isn't a free agent, he's available in the amnesty waiver process, but signing Wade, Deng, and Haslem put us over the cap, so we won't be able to bid on him. He'll only be available for us to sign in the very unlikely event that nobody puts a bid in on him. Likelihood of that is slim.

There is clearly room for Beasley on this team if we are gonna play Bosh at C. The forward position starts to look a little crowded, however, if Bosh is going to play significant minutes there. Especially with Granger available as a potential small-ball PF.

My guess is Hamilton is the 3rd center. Boozer at PF if he becomes a free agent. And at SG ???? Maybe players like Rush or Chris Douglas Roberts or Stuckey or Billups or Crawford or Rascual Butler or james Jones or Caron Butler

No. He used to be decent in previous years. Last year he entered the 'terrible rebounder' zone. Hopefully he manages to be at least decent.

This goes hand-on-hand with his increase in 3pt attempts last season. Same with Chris Bosh, if you ask a player to open the court and play away from the basket, it automatically puts him at a disadvantage for rebounds. Don't expect good numbers from either on the rebounding department next season since Miami's transition defense is based on having our bigs run back over pursuing rebounds. The rebound numbers will go up collectively (someone has to get the 7 rebounds Lebron used to get) but I wouldn't count on monster numbers from Bosh or McRoberts.

If Bosh gives us 8 rebounds per game and McRoberts 5, we should be happy.

I wonder if shabbaz and cole will be the second unit backcourt? Really need a backup 2. Ennis maybe?

IMO we are going to struggle this year. Unless wade comes out supermanlike. Too many new faces. Remember the first year of the big 3.....Took a while to get in sync.

I think bringing back the core of the team was important. So we can prove Its a team game . Plus they have finals experience and chemistry .wade 3 rings Haslem 3 rings bosh 2 rings Chalmers two rings cole 1 ring Birdman 1 ring . Sorry but lebron did not do it alone . He will miss his supporting cast of champions .

Yep, but with spo, I fully expect mcbob to stand in the corner behind the 3pt line.

And to the last guy that has Blatche as our starting C and Beas as one of our back up C's, just...... :nonono:

Blatche seems like a solid option as the backup 4/5 allowing you to not play ultra small at all times. Elton Brand and Ekpe Udoh are other options.

What about Ramon Sessions? Personally I think he'd be the best point on your roster and he can play the backup 2 also.
“If you're getting stops and you're making threes and the other team's not scoring, that's when you're going to see a huge point difference there,” coach Billy Donovan said.

That might be because last year Big Al was their starting center and he averaged close to 11 rebounds.

It's not an excuse to average 5.7 rebounds per 36 minutes. Even Andrea Bargnani averages 5.8 rebounds per 36 for his career.

Luol Deng averages 6.3 rebounds per 36 for his career, and he's a SF who spent most of his career next to Noah, Ben Wallace and Varejao, all good rebounders.

It's not like Al Jefferson is Dennis Rodman or Moses Malone.

I think McBob's lack of offensive rebounds is understandable, he was asked to shoot a lot of 3s. Hard to rebound on the offensive end if you are camped at the 3pt line. But defensively he should get more. Hopefully he can step it up.

Chicago is a terrible shooting team. More rebounds to have.
