Timberwolves Re-branding Idea's!

Wolves are going to be moving in a new direction soon, with whatever happens. Is it time for a fresh start?

New name, logo, or jersey color?

I personally want to bring back the green pine tree design on the shorts and jerseys. Our white and blue jerseys are just awful as well imo.

What would you guys propose?

Same name, same logo, I'd love to see a green alternate jersey, or a grey maybe.

Personally always wanted them to cut the timber out of their name. Minnesota Wolves. Then go with a more classic Wolves jersey look with updated style.

I think we need a change. Just something different. I think a big thing is marketing. They need to get the whole state involved with this team. Make them feel attached to this possible rebuild.

Only times I'd be okay with a name change is if the franchise is moving cities, or if theres a situation like the New Orleans/Charlotte changes where they're essentially giving a franchise their name back.

Color changes are too gimmicky IMO, and we've already had enough jersey/logo changes over the past 10 years.

Theres a stigma with the name Timberwolves.

Bobcats changed their names and all of a sudden they are a elite eastern conference team. :lol:

We need to follow this formula!

Retro is in. We need to bring back the original Wolves blue and green.

This was made by Master Amino a few years back. Should definitely be sent to the Wolves marketing department:

Then put on modern twist on these with a green alt (as someone already mentioned):

I see a lot more of the retro Wolves gear being worn around the city and arena when I'm out & about than I do with the current gear.

I'd like the secondary logo to be used as the primary logo. It's just much better.

Also, ditch the current black alternate jerseys, mostly because of the sleeves but even if they were sleeveless I'd prefer the black ones we had before. And swap the blue ones with green jerseys. Some mock ups from a few years back on this board here were pretty damn nice.

Then again, I don't think there will be any big change soon because the last big change was like only 5 years ago?!

I really like what the hornets have done. Even their summer league jerseys had pop to them.

I agree I want the retro scheme back. The current uniforms are so dull and lifeless in my opinion. Went looking around and found these on google, they could be touched up with more green but I kind of like the idea of the retro logo being used actually on the jersey.

Keep the name and logo, go with the black jerseys (no sleeves) and change the lighting in Target Center for Wolves games to more of a Laker style, with the crowd being darker and the emphasis on the court.

Also, they should do free t-shirt nights where everyone gets a black shirt with yellow wolves eyes on the front.

They can call it a blackout and make the other team feel like they are in the woods (and are out numbered by angry wolves).

Other than that, no changes needed, besides winning more games.

Glow in the dark yellow eyes would be so sick! :nod:
