Kemba and Lance, how will they play together?

Both Kemba and Lance are at their best with the ball in their hands. How will they adjust to playing off the ball more? Lance is great at getting to the basket off pick and rolls and we all know how creative Kemba can be when he needs to get a shot off, but there's only one ball. How will we adjust?

I don't think it will be much of an adjustment for Kemba given how much McRoberts was a primarly half court facilitator last year. He's also played a ton next to Sessions, and even with DJ and Boris before that.

probably would have been a much more painful adjustment not having signed Lance at all and leaving Kemba as the sole creator in the lineup

Kemba has no problem sharing the ball. I'm just hoping Clifford coach ball stopping out of Lance, something he might've had to do as a necessity with Pacers and their stagnant offense. Lance will just take the touches in the halfcourt set that McBob had so it won't be no major adjustment to Kemba. They'll work well off each other if you ask me. I think they could both have a career year in efficiency playing together.

Their ball-dominance is okay, because we don't have a small forward or a power forward that needs the ball to be effective. Lance takes pressure off of Kemba more than anything else. It's going to be a great fit.

I think its safe to say opposing teams back courts are not going to look forward to playing the Hornets anymore, were going to have icy hot packs in the visitors locker room for their ankles after the game.

i posted this in the FA thread, but it makese more sense here

lance will most stay on the floor with the 2nd unit to work as the primary/secondary creator/ball handler next to roberts. the fact that roberts is a good shooter who can play off the ball works in that scenario.

so perhaps you will see lance as the first sub off around 6 min mark of 1st quarter, kemba comes off at end of 1st, lance comes back on and runs with roberts, kemba comes back in at 6min mark of 2nd quarter and both kemba and lance finish the quarter together.

kemba, lance, mkg - 12min to 6min 1st
kemba, hendo, mkg - 6min to end 1st
roberts, hendo, lance - 12min to 6min 2nd
kemba, lance, mkg - 6min to end of 2nd

something like that with one of kemba or lance always on the floor

i think lance will fill the role left by mcroberts, as the secondary ball-handler and the guy who stays on with the 2nd unit when kemba is out.

when we are running the offense thru big al, lance should be in the opposite corner, where shots the best %s.

I love this. The NYC backcourt! They're kinda old school, bringing the flash & showiness to the court. It's fun cause NY ball fell off.

Don't think it'll be a big deal. Lance will get more shots overall which will make him happier & like you said before he's not a pure point, so there were always other ppl who helped him out. Don't think it'll change. Esp if his efficiency improves.. He'd be hyped from my pov lol.

Cha is like my 2nd or 3rd fav team. That's why i'm lurking around here btw.

Kemba and Lance backcourt, MKG's revamped shot, the battle between Cody and Marvin to start, having a backup point that doesn't just look to score, and last but certainly not least a 2nd season with our great coaching staff.

Why does the season have to be so far away?

They will be fine. Cliff has found his guy to lead the second unit in Lance.
