Jameer Nelson?
Any objections to picking this guy up for a short 1-2 year contract?

I'd rather give the 3rd string PG to someone who has a bit of upside, like steal Aaron Craft from the Warriors' summer league team.

Getting a guy with experience for the vet minimum on a short low risk contract seems a bit more in line for what were trying to do since adding boozer.

If he was any good, Orlando would keep him. Elfrid Payton is their only PG on the roster and they still waived him.

Just give the minutes to Lin so that he can inflate his stats.

His deal was only partially guaranteed, they were always letting him go for pennies. O is a pg too btw and they have Ridnour/Gordon for the price of Jameer

They could have added ridnour with an exception if they wanted to keep Jameer. If you think Gordon is an upgrade then you are proving my point once again.

Having two backups that are vets to your two young guys who are learning to play pg and SG all for the price you're paying Jameer is smart. It's not even a knock on Jameer, we would have did the same to Blake for example if he was here and only partially guaranteed and could get out all his money. Jameer gets a change of scenery, they start a new, no foul.
Jameer last year still played well enough to replace Marshall, Blake, etc as a second pg over Nash and Clarkson in the depth chart at the min. You won't get much better out there unless if you're set on Kane or another SL guy maybe helping
Jameer, Mo, and Sessions are the market. The price point is going to be interesting but none if them will be paid well IMO

... I think we have enough PG in this team (Lin, Nash, Clarkson) ... I'm more interested in signing a SF ...

I was thinking this for a couple of yrs now. But after we got Lin and Clarkson...Unlike Kobe, I will pass!

Re: Jameer Nelson?
we need more depth at SF....I know Clarkson is a rookie but he'll be fine at the backup spot, alot of backup 1's these days aren't pure PG anyways.

Re: Jameer Nelson?
Depends. If I could get rid of Nash and get Jameer...yes.
Steve Nash is/was nice, but every year with him has been a let down. Jameer would be a contributor right away and could be called upon during crunch time games with his experience and shots.

Dear Moderators, can I get my previous account (Tonyism74) activated or have those credentials carry over to this one? Ballboy is embarassing. I forgot the previous credentials.

Re: Jameer Nelson?
I would take Jameer or Sessions for get minimum... I have a funny feeling that Nash will contribute this season... It has been TOO quiet on the Nash front...
