Not going to lie, this series scares me. Red Sox are playing well and the Jays are, well, not playing well.

I believe in the power of BLC, though, so I'll keep the faith.

Rubby De La Rosa is starting game 4 i believe.

We're missing Jon Lester in a 4 game series, that's pretty lucky and we're facing 4 righties. Lackey and De La Rosa will be tough, the Sox also have Victorino back but we so desperately need a series win here.

Suddenly that would make 7 straight games against a righty starter by series end. We'll certaintly take that and then the Yankees don't have any lefties in their rotation right now either coming up this weekend.

Lackey is a scum bag! I hope we score a bunch off him.

Getting us two out of three against the Rangers shows that you still have the capability to produce wins, BLC, but these are the series that really make or break a thread-starter. The Sox are on a roll; get out there and cool 'em off.

it's been said before but it can't be overstated; BLC is love. BLC is life.

He's proven himself as a thread-starter. Ending losing skids and winning against top teams is what he needs to be a bonafide thread-ace (not just the staff ace).

We have to seriously consider what we can get for BLC at the deadline.

I maintain we should be buyers of karma, not sellers. Anyone know any local orphanages?

Side note: BLC is love. BLC is life.

Gotta love the latest wiretap headline about the Jays having potential interest in Kyle Kendrick. No doubt AA is contemplating a Norris + Pompey for Kendrick blockbuster all so we can luxuriate in having J.A. Happ, R.A. Dickey and Kyle Kendrick in the same rotation. As an added bonus it would allow us to move one of our better starters in Hutch or Stroman to the bullpen.

Ordinarily I would dismiss this headline as unsubstantiated speculation, but my cynicism regarding AA's decision-making is at an all-time high.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

I'm not sure why your cynicism would be high. In the last 19 months, his only trade of any MLB significance was Lincoln/Kratz, and his only FA signing was Navarro. Everything else has been minor league trades, minor league signings, and waiver pick-ups.

Expect nothing to happen. That's the safest bet. Or expect more waiver claims when other teams decide to waive players (Reimold, Mills, Wallace, etc, types).

Indeed, cynicism was the wrong word. Skepticism is what I mean. I have very little confidence in his ability to make trades at this point.

Read this tweet right now- Sergio Santos DFA. Rob Rasmussen called up from Buffalo. Right move made from my end.
