Thompson+Waiters+Bennett+ Memphis and Miami 1st round pick. Would that be enough?

Wayy too much for the Cavs to give up.

Waiters and Bennett is more than enough

I don't see us pulling the trigger on Horford for this package. Maybe Millsap if you're interested.

If we are sure to get a real C, it can be an option, but since Horford is our best player, and plays at C for us, if a trade include several players, Varejao would need to be a part of the trade, and CLE would play Horford at C

Make it happen Ferry!

ATL: Horford, Milsap, Jenkins, 1st (swap pick top 4 protected) for Wiggins, Dieng, Thompson
TOR: DeRozan for Milsap, Jenkins
CLE: Wiggins, Thompson, 1st (Miami) for Love
MIN: Love, Dieng for Horford, DeRozan, 2 1st

Teague/Shroeder/Mack
Korver/Sefolosha/Bazemore
Wiggins/Carroll
Thompson/Scott/Payne
Dieng/Antic/Muscala

I don't think Minnesota would do this. I mean not only are they giving up a top 15 player, but to give up a young solid big on an entry level deal with 3 years to go for 2 guys who will be UFA's in a few years, that's poor asset management. They'd just cut everybody out and give Love for Wiggins, Bennett and whatever salary they need to match along with a pick or 2. Plus the Raptors won't give up their starting 2 in DeRozan who has so much room to grow and finding 2's who can play is difficult.

What sweetener would you want in a Pek for Millsap deal?
I'd be willing to offer any combination of the picks from the CLE deal, Shabazz, and any of our expirings

How much do you value Korver? I'd be interested in Pek+Shabazz+Expirings+1st for Millsap and korver
Or something like this http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=lkngg55 and add in a 1st

Yeah... won't address that offer directly. In all honesty, outside of a straight salary dump, I wouldn't be interested in trying to fit into our system at all and yes, we do love the guy who led the league in TS%.

Having said that, here are two options I wouldn't mind exploring:
1) One rumor I saw had PHI putting in Thad Young for Dion Waiters with PHI taking on other salaries for more assets. I wouldn't mind doing something similar for Paul Millsap and we have some cap space as well.
2) Another deal I have seen is that I've seen on the T&T board that IND has been OK with something around a Pek for Hibbert deal. With George out for the season, I'd wonder if they'd still consider that since Pek's longer deal would allow them some cost security while George comes back to 100%. I know others around here hate Hibbert, but personally I wouldn't mind trying him out as a rehab project.

If we could bring these together, we could do something along the lines of this:
IND gets: Pek + ATL 1st
MIN gets: Millsap + Jenkins
ATL gets: Hibbert + Waiters

IND gets good value while dealing off one of the biggest reasons for their slide last season. MIN gets basically the deal you're proposing (Millsap for Pek + young assets without including Dieng, LaVine, Wiggins, or any possible lotto picks). Boom/Bust trade for us IMO: ATL takes on a bunch of risk by dealing off our AS and a future 1st for a rehab project and a talented prospect albeit one with rumors of being a malcontent.

I was wondering, do you guys have any interest in Tyson Chandler?

This is a what a Bucks fan came up with.

Would you have to send out Korver or would you part with a different player? I rather not eat Zaza + Mayo + Korver for a long time, if you know what I mean. Mayo goes out the same year as Henson to put Mayo's money and give it to Henson.

I really like what Tyson could bring to the team. (Rebounding, shot blocking, legit Center).

But we love Korver here. And Tyson's 33.

Trust me our team knows that feeling. We love Dirk and Ellis with Parsons might end up joining our no trade love type players. I was just wondering what would you guys thought would be a fair move if you guys had to offer people?

Would you guys entertain:

Trey Burke, Enes Kanter (picks of some sort)

for

Al Horford

Just curious if a pick or picks could get this deal to be of interest...appreciate your feedback.

I like Burke but we already have a good PG situation. Not that big of a Kanter fan. My answer is no.

Ferry by all indications is not likely to push the reset button on the roster and a move like this would seemingly suggest that he would have to do that. There are too many implications for major roster reconstruction not just from moving key guys but secondary or tertiary guys because the team is already at full capacity for roster slots to be entertaining a 2 for 1 trade.

Perhaps I should backtrack and declare that first off we need to hammer out the value of the picks as they are the major draw in a Horford trade with Utah; what are the protections, how many picks will it be etc. etc.? Kanter is nice enough but he's going to be a RFA next summer when the Hawks will have major capspace and looking from the outside, it looks like Utah hasn't been successful in getting him and Favors to mesh so it's unlikely that you'd invest much to retain him as a lucrative backup C.

Jeff Teague could be moved in a separate deal and the future of the backcourt thrown to the young duo of Burke and Schroder and having them battle it out for supremacy with Mack as a steady hand but more likely a 3rd team may have to be found to take on Burke and provide value to the Hawks for him. The latter will allow Ferry to maintain the status quo with the current roster yet be armed for the upcoming summer with picks and even greater capspace to add a potential franchise changing player but again, the major draw here is the value of the picks.

Personally, I wouldn't want Bogut unless it only took like a few 2nds and John Jenkins from us to get him. He's injury prone and can't stay healthy. Our team has faced injury H3LL the last 2-3 seasons and I just don't want any guys coming to ATL that have a history of not being able to stay healthy.

I'd offer Millsap but for the fact that Bogut's contract runs for so long and he's clearly on the downswing of his career. Shame that he had those freak injuries that took away his scoring.

That extension killed Bogut's value.
