I think PJ looks ready. I dont see any major weaknesses in his game other than efficiency and I dont think that is a major weakness for him. So far a steal at 24/26 pick.

PJ will be a GREAT backup for Lance. Hopefully backing up Lance doesnt stunt Hairston. I think he can be a little better than Lance if he stays out of trouble

i wouldnt say that i don't like him. i don't have a problem with the pick because his upside is obvious. its just that i am getting tired of having these young guys with "upside" and "potential" because frankly our track record of developing raw players has been atrocious so far. i am not sure that i have the patience to sit around and wait on another big man who will take 3 years to become a reliable player.

just once i'd like to take a player who is ready to play immediately. thats why i was looking forward to mcdermott. but again, i would have taken vonleh over mcdermott and i'd still do it after seeing summer league, but it doesnt mean i wont bitch and complain along the way.

vonleh missed like 5 bunnies today. just frustrated, thats all. he'll be great in 2017... i hope.

Yeah I flipped out on the draft chat wanting McDermott. Vonleh can rebound, but throwing a basketball against the backboard like its a brick wont do. Hes 2-3 years away, and frustrating to say the least.

Just got done watching the game on PVR.

Noah looked tired. Really tired. I think a lot of basketball for a young kid over a short amount of time caught up with him tonight.

PJ still taking some horrible, horrible shots. Good to see him post up a couple of times though and the two scoop layups were nice. But still, the guy is just an out and out chucker. He's a bigger Ben Gordon. When he's hot it's awesome but when he's cold he just wants to shoot his way out of it.

Davis looked awesome. Like Wallace and MKG made a baby. Great to see him go after it the way he did.

They got a away with a LOT of offensive fouls they were not called for. It was p*ssing me off.

Still, considering where we started the SL I'm happy with how we finished it. Still think it's crap that Rex sat out these last two games.

Noah needs a lot of work. I too wanted McD and after summer league, it would be a tough call to choose between them now. McD looked very fluid and like a bigger Kyle Korver right off the bat. Vonleh can rebound and defend, but he picked up way too many fouls (not a big deal) and looked clumsy with the ball and in the post like Zeller did. At this point I would just bulk Noah up all season and get him into shape, and maybe the fluidity would come.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say after SL I would take McDermott over Vonleh, for now and the future. Lets hope he proves me wrong. I definitely would take Vonleh over Stauskas and Harris.

I was totally impressed with PJ. I think if it weren't for him we don't make it that far in SL. If you noticed throughout when he would leave the game we were not able to score and they would take the lead. I don't think PJ forced any shots, I think those were all good looks he took. I like his hustle, I like his post up ability, I like his ability to find people which he did a few times during the game when nothing was there, I also like his inside game. He missed a lot of shots but stats don't always indicate whats going on. Take PJ off that team and we dont advance one game

PJ absolutely forced a few shots. There was a turnaround jumper he took earlier in the game that was a prayer and had no chance of going in. He makes some ridiculous shots but can be way off the mark on some easy ones. I think it's just a mechanics thing. As pretty as his jumper looks at times, he needs to tighten it up and get more consistent.

The potential with Vonleh is obvious, and you've got to love his jumpshot, but he has to start making those gimmes. You've gotta think his touch will improve drastically as he adds strength. As this point, he can't absorb contact and still get a soft shot up. Also seemed to be overthinking his post offense at times, which is understandable for a young player. Really loved his rebounding, post defense, and overall demeanor on the court.

Also, like everyone else said, Josh Davis absolutely deserves an invite to camp. Everybody knows he's a beast on the boards, but he showed some promise on the offensive end this game.

Noah looked better than Cody in the games played and yes he was tired.I believe this year the reason they sat Cody out is that they plan to trade him after Henderson is recovered from recent wrist surgery. The way Josh Davis played in SL we are really stupid if we do not sign him. 18 points 14 rebounds and 100% from the line..Defense ...Steals..Energy Plus...He was guarding the Rockets centers and cleaning up..Yes no outside shot but put 10 lbs on him and he is a 3/4 rebounding machine...A 10-15 foot jumper can be added later. As to the rumor posted about MKG and GW making a baby together...It's not true it's Rodman and GW

I am hoping that now with our contract roster at 14 players that we trade both Henderson and and/or Biz,Taylor,Neal or Zellar for a 3 and backup center. Here are some ideas:

PJ will be more efficient and force less when he's playing in a real offense with other NBA caliber players who can get him the ball. If you watched him at Carolina he got much better looks and forced less.

He'll always run hot and cold, but given what the Hornets currently have PJ is a perfect addition of firepower to a second unit that was rather impotent last year

i cant take anyone seriously when they say things like "i don't think PJ forced any shots".

no doubt PJ was our best offensive weapon and we needed him to keep shooting, but he took a ton of terrible shots, but he also made a decent amount of terrible shots. however, i didnt mind his shot selection because someone on that team had to score and PJ can hit from anywhere regardless of defense. now, if he pulls that crap in regular season, he'll be sitting on the end of the bench.

PJ's a scorer, but he's gonna be streaky like JR Smith cause he's developed some bad habits with his shot. Like not setting his feet properly on the shot, and shooting off balance a times. If he maintains his shot form discipline he would be a more reliable shooter. But you can just tell he can really get hot, which is the reason why he sometimes loses his focus on for cause he knows he has a good shot.
