Defensively Robin was a beast last year, and it could be argued his defense was the hidden catalyst why Portland did so well last year.

Too bad so many people on this board (myself included :( ) soured on Robin and didn't give him the time he needed to develop. He was never going to contribute much offensively, but he would be perfect for what we need right now.

I wonder if Portland would trade him back to us?

When we traded him, he was SLopez and not the same guy is today. When we moved him, he was coming off back surgery and lost a ton of athleticism and looked even more robotic than he did when he first started. He's coming into his own now but knowing what we knew then, we did the right thing.

Just saw this. Just wanted to get your guys opinions. Is this summer league overaction? Or is there a real possibility he could be better than Ennis?

There is a chance. His athleticism is off the charts, but he had three years in college and Ennis led his team to 25-0 as a freshman pg. He was unbelievable. Nick Johnson wasn't even nearly that good as a freshman or sophomore. They are different players though. Ennis is going to take time. Johnson might have been a more immediate contributor, but he's not a good enough passer to be a one, and he's a little small to be a two. Though I suppose Westbrook probably had similar things said about him.

If I'm looking for a PG, I would go with Ennis and if I was looking for a gunner at the 2, I would look at the D-League or FA instead of wasting a pick on Johnson. Right now Ennis is a massive WIP and you could certainly argue Johnson is the better player right now and more ready to contribute but if you're asking whether Johnson can be a better PG than Johnson, I would say no.

Johnson is a nice spark off the bench but thats about it. Think Nate Robinson.

I wholeheartedly agree with this statement. It would theoretically be impossible.

That's a statement that cannot be wrong.

You need to examine him a bit more closely.

Not really. He's already ten times the defender Nate is. I think he'll succeed in the league as a bench role player for years if he develops a corner 3.

I'm thinking if I have another child, I'll name him or her "Stretch 4".

Anyone know the date the schedule is released? Hoping the Suns get a few more ESPN games. We get like 2-3 a week in Australia, usually Heat games, but that won't happen this season! Even though I watch the Suns games online, much prefer seeing them on my TV and being able to record it for future Suns pick n pop fixes.

Lakers rumor really has nothing behind it and holds no weight.

Was this from an insider or just your opinion? Just curious.

This is good thing to keep in mind when people are becoming hypercritical of Alex Len.

Indeed. Big men take even longer than PGs to develop. We won't know who Len really is till 2018.

Welcome to the board! We have quite a few Aussies posting here, me, Lilfishii, SDU, and others.

TASTIC is Aussie too, but the inferior type. ;)

I just tried to look up Jahii Carsons stats for Summer League but couldn't find them.. anyone have any good sites, or just posting them would work.

so mad at him for not just staying at ASU, but I think if he would have come out last year he would have been taken.

discuss.

Not sure what his stats were but heard he looked bad and wasn't doing well. Seems like he will be heading overseas (I would do that rather than Dleague)
