Not the best tournament for him, but I'm not too concerned. He's a disgusting player who will do anything and I am fairly confident he will be useful unless he gets himself sent off regularly.

Sunderland planning to loan Zouma from us, really like this deal. Hope it goes through

So right now, our CBs are Terry/Cahill/Ivanovic/Omeruo

Thorgan Hazard to be loaned to Monchengladbach

Really loving how quickly this guy is progressing since we got him. Might not play a lot of first team initially but still experiencing top division first team football is good for him

Signed 19-year old Mario Pasalic

Don't know much about the guy, but he made the provisional 30-man Croatia squad, so that's a good sign. Says he admires Lampard, let's hope for much of the same. Should be loaned out ASAP too.

Just watched the second half, and Da Silva, Brown and Boga were excellent.

Even if none of them makes it to the first team, we'll see a lot of these guys playing professional football somewhere.

I thought Bamford looked good, even though he might never play for us he's certainly got a future at a low-to-mid table team.

I really like Brown and Boga, really think they've got a great chance of making our team.

Zouma is an athletic freak, this guy has some mad hops on him

Down 2 to Wimbledon at the half lol.

Shame for the youngsters who look devastated every time they make a mistake. Matic and Boga the only positives so far. Think I'd much rather have Boga in the first team than Salah who surprisingly can't seem to handle the heat

Really slow, and there was barely anything happening in the final third. First team players proved their class in the second half, and unfortunately the youngster disappointed.

I read we apparently threw Ivanovic on as a striker in the 2nd half of the last game when down. HAHA. Its about time Jose took my suggestions seriously. ;)

Ivan > Torres

Thoughts on Drogba potentially returning on a one year deal as a player/mentor?

Yeah, Barry Glendenning has more than once suggested that Ivanovic would score more frequently than Torres

Recently acquired Pasalic to Elche on a season long loan

Omeruo to Middlesbrough on a season long loan

Guess this means that Zouma might be our 4th CB this year, considering that Kalas is on loan too

Yeah, no way he gets favre to fall in love with him over Raffael for the first choice 10 spot, but with europe this season they'll need to rotate more and I could see Favre developing a way to use both Raffael and Hazard, hopefully by moving Kruse to a wide left striker position and playing the 4-3-1-2-0 I want the NT to play.

yeah, getting a tad worried about the depth across the back 4 heading into the season.

left back: luis, azpi
right back: azpi, ivan
center back: terry, cahill, ivan

5 experienced guys to rotate between 4 spots. i hope some of the young guys are ready.

Well technically PVA, Kane & Zouma (who can play RB also) are still in the squad. These guys have played some decent competition already and could be ready for at least spending 95% of the season on the bench

Hopefully 2 of the 3 can stay this year.

yeah, i guess technically PVA is still a chelsea player, but seems he is wanting to leave

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/ ... nsfer-news

what is the latest on bertrand? i have always assumed he would be leaving this summer as well. he doesnt seem content to be a backup.

latest i could find on bertrand

http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/ ... -liverpool

i guess in an emergency would could also use ramires at right back and any number of defensive mids like mikel or romeu at center back.

no way we send zouma out on loan though, right? one of zouma, kalas or omeruo was going always going to have to stay around to play 4th centerback and now zouma is the only one left.

Let's just hope that PVA impresses Mourinho and decides to keep him, but I agree that him and Bertrand wouldn't want to be a back-up. He should leave though, he's been capped a few times for Holland and is 23 think it's time that he should leave.

Liverpool want Bertrand but it's not like he's guaranteed first team there either so hope he just ends up staying until at least half the year, when we can find a suitable back up in January.

Ramires at RB could do a job, but he's very reckless so I wouldn't trust it completely. He did a job for us there when JT got sent off against Barcelona.

Think it's safe to assume that Zouma's gonna stay, it helps that he can play RB too, he's the only one left who's played against top opposition. Ake is still there but he hasn't faced any top competition yet, he definitely needs to be loaned out.
