Careful before talking trash, the Dodgers are in the same position as the Braves right now

2nd place? I don't think so.

do clarify.

I'm not saying Kershaw isn't deserving, but I think Wainwright edged him out because he's pitched the entire season and, well, Mike Matheny is the NL skip.

If I'm being completely honest, I'd probably give the nod to Wainwright, too.

i expect Kershaw to lead in ERA, strikeouts etc. etc. Those aren't enough to put Clay over Wainwright given the time off for injury.

It's just that he really had a historic run. The scoreless innings streak and the no hitter. He has all kinda of crazy momentum and on the other side you have someone saying, "we'll wait he was hurt to start the year".

Just disheartening to Dodger fans tbh.

both have 43 losses, and are in the middle of a mid-season division race dogfight.

But you mean tied for first.

Good point.

Wainwright has probably been the most consistent guy in all of baseball outside of Kershaw.

Oh if the Dodgers are "tied" but the Giants are listed as first, I always count it as second. Call me a perfectionist...or a tight wad...whatever's clever.

We came back from 9.5 back. I'd hardly view this snap shot in time as being the same situation. But we'll see what the Giants have to say about that at the end of the month.

oh and...i have bragging rights over the Braves until October technically.
or do I need to post the Uribe video? 8-)

So the Cardinals manager blows it by playing some pitcher who probably wouldn't have even made the team if not for being one his regular players..

Yanks just swept the Reds. Wasn't expecting that, especially with Cueto on the mound for Cincy today. Hopefully that's a sign of good things to come down the stretch.

Nats win again, ugh! We need to keep it close at least so the head to head matchups matter.

If you can look yourself in the mirror every morning and say, "Don Mattingly is not my manager"....be happy.

Man, Fredi couldn't even manage a bullpen in a game of "MLB The Show" but we trust him to do it in real life.

I can't imagine how good we could be with a decent manager.
