Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
I'd trade Nash, Houston 1st, rights to Clarkson, and Sacre or Nash, Sacre, and break the protection on the 2015 pick we owe them for sign and trade Bledsoe.
With a line up of Bledsoe-Lin-Kobe-Boozer-Hill and Randle, Swaggy P, Ed Davis, Xavier, and Wes off the bench I doubt we are a bottom 5 team anyways, might as well offer to break the protection.
Sacre won't get any minutes with our deep front court and we can develop a young duo of Bledsoe and Randle for the future.
If we trade Clarkson, we would really just need a back up point guard or combo guard.

That way we can develop a young core of Bledsoe and Randle for the future.
this is a great suggestion, probably still not enough for Pho but F em....play this lineup
Bled
Lin
Kobe
Randle
Hill
bled/lin could be similar to Bled/Dragic, Lin is a "combo" guard anyways and Bled can play off ball.

Kobe for Melo works in the trade checker no?
Amre, Deron, JJ all work in the trade checker for Kobe

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
Oh, an Eric Bledsoe thread.
I would love to have Bledsoe on this team. However, if it involves giving up anything of significance, I'd hold off. He reportedly declined a 4 year, 48M deal with Phoenix. So, if we don't end up overpaying, he'll eventually sign his qualifying offer and become an unrestricted free agent next year when we can just sign him outright without giving up anything.
I would also not give him anything more than 12M a season. Even if we did that, we would barely have a full max space available next off-season.
I'll stick with the team and assets (Randle, picks, expiring contracts) that we have and see who gets desperate mid-season.

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
I think there is a big question mark around Bledsoe due to injury [x]
No one wants to get another Nash situation or Amare.
Basically untradeable players whom are paid a lot of money based on face-value - ignoring injuries.
NY screwed itself by signing a broken Amare.
LA did a partial screw because no one thought Nash would break-down so quickly. But he did.
Everyone knows Bledsoe wants a 5 year Max Deal to the tune of more than 80million.
Anyone want to pay Bledsoe 80 million right now? I don't even know.

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
To me the biggest issue with Bledsoe are his injuries. Lakers shouldn't give Randle for the possible damaged goods of Bledsoe. As much as I want to get better fast, I would rather wait till the end of the next season or maybe halfway some star will want to leave the team and then jump in with our assets.
Deep into that darkness peering, long I stood there wondering, fearing, Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before;

Hill, Young, Randle are keepers.

he's 6'1 with a 6'8 wingspan, he's also very athletic and can play good D. only issue about him is his injury and money. other than these the guy's a baller.

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
come on now, bledsoe is good. really makes us more solid defensive team alongside with wes and hustling jhill and davis underneath the basket. if we somehow can get him with package of nash + hou first rounder + sacre/clarkson, you just have to do it. he looked just fine after the injury. he has +- the same playmaking abilities such as lin but he's in another dimension defensively. lin can go off the bench with swaggy and randle which would be one of the better 2nd units in the league.

Bledsoe is a freakin stud, if you can sign him to a reasonable contract with out giving up randle you do it.

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
I prefer Lin to Bledsoe given the length of deal... Bledsoe doesn't wRr nt more than $10 to $12 a year... He isn't better than Lowry ($48 over 4)... I think the Lakers are done making major moves...

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
I like to add I think most are overlooking how the new CBA works for this new generation of players... Best case scenario we wouldn't be able to land an impact player before their in the 27-29year old range and thats if they left college early. Most of these guys are gonna be restricted free agents and the team that drafted them will match period. This is a rare case where the Suns have too many PG's (But they do run a 2 PG offense) and Bledsoe injury concerns have the Suns not wanting to commit to paying him alot of that money. While I said from the beginning in no way shape or form should Randle be included in ANY DEAL. I just think we could still put a very enticing package together that Phoenix would at least consider and take a gamble on a mid 20 year old PG. I just dont like the Nash comparisons because he was clearly out of his prime at the time we traded for him.
Nash(I'd try really hard to not include Lin)+Hill +Hous 1st and we S&T for Bledsoe and agree on an amount somewhere between 13-15mill for 4 years (with the 4th year being a team option due to injury concerns)
Remember with the new TV deal coming into play very soon the salary cap is suppose to jump up higher so if we're paying that amount for one of the best 2 way PG's in the league. That contract wont look as bad. Even though I doubt this would happen, we're not really gonna get another opportunity in this CBA to snatch up a PG before he's even in his prime years

I wouldn't put Hill on that list, he got his contract for a reason and that reason isn't because he's in our long term plans. Clearly an overpay so we can have flexibility to trade him or not pickup his option next year and renegotiate next year for Young like contract. I'd trade Young too if the right offer came along, only feel bad for him since he's taken less both times now to be here.

Re: Eric Bledsoe thread
I feel like people forget that Sarver absolutely hates the Lakers. He was extremely against sending Nash to the lakers and only did so because Nash asked him to. The Suns will not send Bledsoe to the Lakers unless they at least get Randle. We might as well forget about Bledsoe. He's not coming here unless he becomes an unrestricted free agent next year and doesn't sign an extension.
