Instead of waiting till 2016 where we only get $40m of cap space, we could have been a major player THIS SUMMER where we have $55m of cap space!! We could have assembled any super team we want with or without LBJ. Riles really blew it up big time! :noway:

Temuhjan : We are bandwagoners and we are proud of it. Who doesn't like a champion, the greatest player in the world known as LeBron James?

Mod, can we make this thread a sticky?

I prefer much more waiting for 2016 where they are proven player to get not like this summer !

That 55 mil was without re-signing Wade and Bosh. Who did you want to come here who would have come instead?

You know everyone keeps talking about how we can nab some phenomenal talent in 2016 but nobody mentions who.

http://www.spotrac.com/free-agents/nba/2016/

This is a list of 2016 free agents. Lots of good names but nobody is out of this world (we probably aren't getting KD). How many can we realistically get at a price range that allows us to compete for a championship? Especially considering Bosh's contract and the fact that Wade may want to re-up for a few more years at that point. I honestly don't know.

A guy like Nene and maybe a Mike conley would do wonders alongside Bosh. Maybe keep Oden as a backup and have the Conley/Oden reunion. Just thinking out loud. There's great depth on the list thats for sure

We really should attach a poll to this thread as to whether Lebron leaving or Chalmers re-signing is the worst thing to happen to the team this offseason.

The only positive thing about having Chalmers is that he'll get a lot of steals, but that also come with a price because he'll always end up committing a silly foul or make a bonehead play.
Thanks for all the great memories, LeBron! The show must go on! #Heatnation

Conley would be awesome. And yes, I'd target a big man. Horford probably. Conley, Bosh, Horford. Two big men who can shoot, pass and defend, and a dynamic point guard. It's a pretty cool team. It's the type of team that could win 50+ games for the next few years, cause a lot of matchup problems, defend well, and with some lucky breaks you never know what can happen. Sort of like the Grizzlies are today, except the Heat would hopefully spend more and add better depth.

Of course, it's not what Miami had for the last 4 years, but that shouldn't be expected.

Also, it's possible to have max cap space next summer. If some expirings are moved for cap space, or Deng/Wade opt out. Marc Gasol would be my dream target. Marc Gasol in 2015, Conley in 2016. That one is less likely, but one can dream.
