Funny question, considering I've been out of the basketball circuit for 12 years (after the original Hornets left). Who should I watch in the West? I usually like to watch one team from each conference.

I say that you should watch the Spurs. A lot of ball movement (flashy ball movement at times), a general understanding between teammates to find the best shot and a lot of threes.

Most people would say the Warriors, I guess.

I remember watching Ginobili awhile ago and enjoyed it. Right now I made a short list of ones I may be interested in: The Magic for growth purposes, The Rockets for The Beard and Howard (two of my favorite players), the Blazers cuz of Lillard and maybe the Nuggets cuz I follow almost every Colorado team anyway.

The Suns could be a good team to follow out west as well. Young team, with a good coach (Jeff Hornacek), who play an up and down pace. I had some high hopes for them this year, but their offseason has been underwhelming besides the Isaiah Thomas signing (which now puts them with 3 PGs who need the ball, they do tend to play the best with 2 combo guards on the court though).

you'd be better off trying to make a list of teams in the west that aren't worth watching.

Age? Might be the oldest here at 55. Can you confirm Fats?
Location? SW Florida - Fort Myers area
College (if applicable) Lenoir-Rhyne, Hickory NCProfession? Area Manager
What did you study (or are you studying)? BA - Economics
Level of basketball? League
Compare your game to current/former Hornet? PJ Hairston with no hops
Why did you become a Hornets fan? I'm a born & raised Tar Heel, and married the Hornets the day we were awarded the franchise!
Favorite piece of Hornets history, relevant or irrelevant? The great year 1 upset of the Bulls...and I was there. Also the year 1 games that were so loud I was nearly deaf leaving the place...unreal
What does your screen name mean? I play bass guitar. I have been part of pro bands, done some session recording, and also led Praise Bands at churches. Semi-retired from this since moving to FL last year for my main job
Favorite Hornet of all-time? Alonzo. I met the guy at the player entrance to the locker room one game. He was great, very nice to my son and wife. He transformed the Hornets into a power (along with LJ and company). I think he would have stayed had we paid him properly.
Favorite other NBA players of all-time? David Thompson, just cause he's my favorite homegrown hero from Shelby; Jordan, Bird, Hakeem and (now) Al Jefferson, cause I love his old-school post game.
If you didn’t support the Hornets what NBA team would you support? When the Hornets left Charlotte, I left them. I moved to Missouri, and could not bring myself to pull for any team untikl we got the Bobcats. If no Hornets, I would probably roll with the Spurs, cause I love their team approach
Other sports played growing up? Football, tennis, golf
What other sports teams to you support? Carolina Panthers, St. Louis Cardinals, Rams, Blues, Atlanta Braves
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

That was amazing! Most people do not know that, for many years, Lenor-Rhyne was the only North Carolina university or college to have won a national championship in football (NAIA 1960). It's been great seeing them return to top-flight form. GO BEARS!

Age? 25

Location? Victoria, Australia

College (if applicable) N/A (I wish we had the same system.

Profession? Graphics & Army Reserve

What did you study (or are you studying)? Nothing outside of HS yet.

Level of basketball? Juniors.

Compare your game to current/former Hornet? Couldn't say it has been that long since playing anything 'competitive'.

Why did you become a Hornets fan? Brother, plus colours/Mascot, Zo, Muggsy & LJ.

Favorite piece of Hornets history, relevant or irrelevant? Unfortunately back in the day we never really got to see much of the Hornets live here is Aus, so just seeing them when they appeared on NBA Action and Inside Stuff, collecting the cards etc. Zo's game winner has to be in there though.

What does your screen name mean? Hornets fan in Australia.

Favorite Hornet of all-time? Zo, Kemba and MKG competing for the current spot.

Favorite other NBA players of all-time? Ray Allen, Iverson, LBJ, Glen Rice, DRose, MJ.

If you didn’t support the Hornets what NBA team would you support? Would probably out of the Knicks, or Heat, cause of Zo, possibly the Bulls. I know for sure it would be an Eastern Conference team, always preferred them for some reason.

Other sports played growing up? Football (still play) & Cricket

What other sports teams to you support? Minessota Vikings, Hawthorn Hawks (Aussie Rules), Starting to get into college sports now that is all so much more accessible and have decided to see what following Michigan State is like :P

Hobbies? Footy, Basketball (just shooting), Hunting, Video Games & general tomfoolery with mates.

Favorite foods? Steak, Chicken, BBQ.....Meat.

Favorite music? Metal, although I listen to mostly anything depending on what I'm doing.

Favorite books? Read mostly Bio's and true stories.

Favorite video games? 2K, Madden, GTA, Battlefield, ArmA.

Favorite TV shows/movies? Game Of Thrones, Vikings, Entourage, Suits, SoA, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory. Movies, so many, Remember the Titans, He's Got Game some of the sports related ones.

Tattoos (how many, where)? Nothing yet, would get one if I ever win a flag with my local footy team.

Your dream team of hot chicks? Team would be too large, require more of a league, so much quality out there.

Other sites you visit to waste time (SFW)? twitter, youtube, bigfooty, nfl fantasy.

If you could have dinner with 4 people (alive dead, fictional or real) who would you invite? Michael Jordan, Ben Roberts-Smith, Adrian Peterson & Emma Watson.

Philosophy was my initial major, then I got the equivalent of a minor in Psychology. Loved both, but switched to Economics to help get a job.

I still love the foundation for critical thought I received from those classes.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.
