Happy to see Rose play again but he does not perform well in these type of events. 4 years ago it seemed (to me) that he would just go through the motions much of the time. I saw a very passive Rose who never found the right mix of setting up others and taking over.

We see the same thing in his all star games as well. I think it ties into his personality traits. If he isnt comfortable in his surroundings he can become very withdrawn.

Hopefully there has been growth in that department over the years. I expect rust, no big deal, but you need to play with some intensity (see below, that should be Derricks mindset).

The one guy I could see really hurting the team in international play is Harden. IMO his game doesn't translate at all since he will hardly get calls on that level. so he won't be very effective. He plays no d and isn't interesting in changing that up, that makes him basically a no go for the team. Basically he is a ineffective chucker if you take away the ft's he gets in the NBA.

Though in real life we know Lebron wouldn't be able to chasedown Rose in a open court. The kid is just too fast.

Same here, but trying to be realistic. I don't think will be that good finishing around the rim or able to hit a 3point shot well. He'll be used to pressure the opposing defense in transistion and pressure people via traps.

He'll be the best defensive guard on the team from the point guard position.

one of beal, Hayward or Korver will make the roster for floor spacing. So that leaves one spot:

Rose vs. Lillard

Who will get selected and who deserves to be selected?

I wouldn't consider Drummond or Cousins as locks.
