A little bit, but we are still sitting in 3rd in the East so fans should remain positive.

I don't follow soccer but that's good news.

When the playoffs come around the buzz should go up again. The big signings--especially Defoe in particular--have largely delivered on the hype so far.

Seen this thread and wanted to mention I bumped into Jermaine Defoe, Dwayne De Rosario and Luke Moore @ the Chicago O'Hara Airport.

Didn't realize Defoe is short as hell! Regardless he was a humble guy. Even said "We might as well take a selfie than". So I ended up taking a selfie with all three of them.

Yah, Defoe is only about 5'7. I'm about the same size, so that makes me appreciate his skill more.

But the trick for masking his height is that he carries himself well, so you wouldn't think he was that short unless you saw him standing side by side with someone else taller.

Yup, he's been well worth the price just for the way he has changed the mindset around TFC.

His goals have been plenty nice too.

We are 3rd in the East, so we have a great shot at it.

Top 5 teams make the playoffs.

Which would be a better soccer experience for a soccer noob?

So what did you decide on?

I took the TFC tickets because the AC Milan/Olympiacos game was too quick of a turnaround since it's this week.

Got tickets to the Houston Dynamo game October 8th.

This is why I was glad you took the TFC tickets, I knew tonight's atmosphere would be terrible.

Stadium is mostly empty, and the whole supporters section has no one in it.

Looks fine on television to me, though it's dominated by the Greeks.

Has TFC been rumored for any transfers lately? Or do they not have any cap space left for any signings at the moment?

Very little cap space, plus we have the max of three DP's that can go over cap.

We won't likely be signing anyone else this season.

I won't be around to post this later, so just a reminder that TFC plays tonight at 7PM, and the game can be found on TSN2.

Jackson has had quality chance after quality chance tonight and blown them. The same can be said for much of Toronto. Nice setups. Poor finishing. Some controversial calls in this second half from the ref.

Bradley's effort and intelligence always impress me. He's excellent out of set pieces as well. Definitely has enough talent to be playing in better leagues but thankfully for us he wants to play close to home and help grow the sport.

Wow. Red card just now. 15 minutes with a man advantage. Toronto has to capitalize.

Wow. Embarassing defence from Toronto. KC scores down a man to go up 2-1. Brutal.

Disappointing loss for TFC. Plenty of opportunities to take out one of the better teams in the league but the finishing quality was really lacking tonight.

Gilberto has been a major disappointment. When DeFoe is unable to play the quality difference up front is a massive drop off. They signed Gilberto to minimize that drop off and grow into a young star but he really hasn't done much this year to impress me. His style of play doesn't seem well suited to MLS. At least not yet.

On the other hand, Oduro was a great acquisition. He's fun to watch. Almost the Jose Reyes of the squad with his energy.

Bradley wouldn't be really good in a higher level league. He was horrid in the world cup and had no ability to dribble past anyone, or do anything with the ball

It could have easily been 4-2 for us and Jackson could have had at least 3 goals so I wouldn't say the offense is shaky, just the finishing ability.
Not having Defoe hurt alot though. Defoe is not only a good finisher but I've noticed that he gets players involved and has assisted on many of TFCs goals.

We really need 3 points tonight, but that's going to be tough against a very good DC united.

3 points means we stay solely in 3rd, losing moves us further down this weekend and possibly out of the early playoff picture.

We have absolutely wasted all the games we had in hand, now it's going to be a fight every game.

Game starts at 7PM tonight, and can be found on Sportsnet 360 (The Score)

Sorry to burst your bubble, but Bradley had himself a decent World Cup, all things considered. He is also a world-class player and can play in the EPL, Serie A, and the Bundesliga.

What has impressed me this year is our passing. However, we really need to get a quality Center Back in that can command the area and make important tackles.

Gilberto is a waste of space and frankly a waste of a DPA, we should look to move him to free up that spot. Nikola Zigic is currently a free agent, 6ft 6 striker who last played for the club I support here in the UK. Caused a hell of a lot of problems for teams in the Championship (2nd tier in the UK) so I would imagine he would be great in the MLS which is equivalent to 3rd tier in the UK.

Really enjoying this season though, TFC need to take 3 points from DC tonight in a big 6 pointer, close that gap with games in hand.

no he didn't. He played horribly. He would be on the bench and never play in those leagues. The MLS suits his game
