Gay is a great pick, especially if you're trying to compete the first year with guys like mirj and lakeshowak47. Kings FO view Gay as a big part of their positionless basketball future along with Collison where they try to play uptempo. With IT gone, Gay is bound to get more touches and with the new organizational structure of the Kings I suspect he'll start taking more efficient shots as well.

hes not just going to randomly take more efficient shots. the only reason he was so efficient for the kings was because law of averages. he was so **** awful in Toronto that he was bound to start hitting shots eventually. he will shoot like ~45% again.

Gay is inefficient because he takes too many contested long twos. If the Kings started playing really uptempo and Gay trades half of those for layups/early postups his efficiency is bound to rise.
