We only focus on offense but damn where is the defense. The shooting would be great but you could argue they give that back up on defense. Offense is only half the game and right now if they get Love Bulls are more balanced and IMO that makes a load of difference.
I'm still not getting why some of you are overreacting to Kevin Love going there. All that really does is make the Cavs top heavy with offense, but leaves them weak on defense and arguably weak off the bench.
You are not making Kyrie simply a spot up shooter, you are making him a 3rd option. There is only 1 ball...and defender HAS to stick with him. Nothing stopping them from running a 1/4 or 1/3 as well....and a defender will have to stick with the star not in the play. That is synergy.
As for defense, yes...it will be weaker. But team defense > individual defense. Plus they have AV who's sole job will be defend, rebound, and put-backs. Plus, they have one of the best defenders in the league when motivated....and he will have quite a bit more energy because he does not have a carry an offense.
BTW, if Love goes there, who do we have that can actually take advantage of them? We don't have all that great of scorers.
They will also be one of the top rebound teams in the league if the land Love. Minny was #12 in D with Love and Martin and no rim defender.
Jealousy is a sickness.......get well soon....
