the only position we are OK in is PG, SG (considering kobe is healthy), and PF, although none of those guys plays any defense.
we may have the worst SF and Center rotation in the league, by far. Wesley Johnson, Xavier Henry, and Robert Sacre are borderline league players. Jordan Hill is the only decent player and he's being paid to play out of position.
Lakers are nowhere near Well stocked. A Well stocked team is someone like the clippers or bulls, where even their bench players are starting caliber, whereas our starters are barely bench players lol

I didn't say we're stacked, I said we're lacking in the talent department. But we have players that fit into the positions they are going to play. We're not dealing with a situation of fitting a square peg into a round hole. Henry is a good fit at the Small Forward, Johnson as well. Ed Davis is more than capable of playing backup Center. My point is we're not going to have players playing out of position, which is nice to have. Talent is lacking, but each position is filled.

This team is wonderfully put together. There are no holes at any position except PG depth (third string).

SF is fine. Wesley Johnson is fine, so are Young and Kobe who'll play minutes there as well. Henry offers great depth there to boot.

Center is fine as well. Hill is quite simply a guy who has never been given the chance to play big minutes even his per minute production is ridiculously good. He's been brought along slowly by the Lakers for this exact moment.

Hill is more than solid and Ed Davis has already proven what he's capable of with consistent minutes.

I recon Hill and Davis will be the centers and they should split the minutes.

Hill should Play majority of the 1st quarter and 4th quarter's to use him for the energy he brings to the team
Davis can use 2nd/3rd quarters and Sacre filling in when ever we may need him.

When I watched Hill last year (despite being MDA system etc) I felt like our team was doing better when Hill were playing in those quarters then when he was in the 2nd/3rd

Robert Sacre...Erick Dampier?

I don't know, perhaps he has potential. He looks strong and powerful...worst case, he is a backup giving us an extra set of fouls. On one hand, he could perhaps be a solid double double.
Dear Moderators, can I get my previous account (Tonyism74) activated or have those credentials carry over to this one? Ballboy is embarassing. I forgot the previous credentials.

pretty much all the playoff caliber teams in the west have big frontcourts. i'm guessing we're gonna try to play more uptempo style this year. just makes so much sense with the roster that we have (minus kobe).

Defensively, Boozer shines at guarding centers ... not so much quick PF's.

Jordan Hill is the obvious starting center... I see him with a 11.2 / 10.8 / 1.3 stat line

I'd assume Boozer&Hill although I wouldn't be against Boozer&Kelly

Hill, and if he stays healthy he's exactly what we need at Center. Hustle, garbage points and defense. Minus the ego

If the only hole on the roster for a team is at the third string point guard spot, then the team is sitting pretty and should be a lock for the playoffs.

Assuming Kobe stays healthy...West is pretty stacked.
