Does UCLA play anyone good? I thought the PAC-12 is weak? If he plays in the SEC, he'll play Florida and Kentucky twice a year!

some interesting cuts today from the roster:
seventh woods was no surprise. he was injured.
dennis smith jr.
daniel giddens surprised me since he was on the team last yr and is one of the better defensive bigs.
malik monk

Derryck Thornton over Smith, Heron over Monk, interesting.

Ramsey and Thornton defend at a high level so maybe that gave them the edge... De'Aron Fox is a stud as well

I think Monk and Newman are redundant.

Selfishly, I really wanted to see some reports or footage on Josh Langford... can't really find anything recent. Probably UM's #1 guy now that Cal and K have prioritized Tyus Battle.

Ferguson, Bryant, Heron, King and Swanigan would be my final cuts.

smith is more talented but thornton is probably the best pure PG in his class. he has a very mature floor general type game. thornton taken over smith isn't that surprising. ramsey over smith is though, except that ramsey was on last yr's u16 team. continuity matters. it looks like they're rolling over the u16 roster from last yr. s.woods was a holdover but he was injured. the only other guy from last yrs team who didnt make this initial cut was daniel giddens, which was surprising to me.

heron also defends really well and has a mature game as well. there isn't a whole lot of BS in his game. monk is a lighting in a bottle, but he's hot or cold. when he's on he looks like a future superstar. when he's not, he looks bad.

If Duke hadn't offered Battle, I think Battle/Thornton had a great shot of happening (probably to UK) but the connections to Duke are numerous for Battle. Helps UM's cause for DTJR so I'm not upset :D

Really strange how Langford fell off the map, though. I thought he was back from his injury.

I'll turn them on thanks. I'm an incoming student at Illinois. I'm originally from Minneapolis that's why I have those teams.

Feels good to see these kids in live action and watch them put it all together on the court.

He did get away with a walk on that drive though. Loved the spin and body control though.

U see the good and bad in Thon right now. He needs to slow down slightly and obviously needs to get stronger.

His shooting stroke is beautiful though.

Jaylen needs to tighten that handle but he plays smart with the dribble out in space.
