Often followed by a "what??" according to my limited lip reading skills.

I'm sure that the Shannon Brown fans out there found his appreciation thread more depressing

Goodbye Channing, thank you for everything and even though you were pretty inconsistent I will continue to cheer for you.

Hopefully he helps Payton and Oladipo the way he helped Bledsoe and Dragic.

lmao @ frye helping bledsoe and dragic, that was never the case its more like the suns guards helped frye lol

channing frye is one of the worst bball players ever! he is a center that plays no defense he cant rebound is soft as tissue and shoots only threes lol i liked him only because he was a local guy.

Wow Sonne.... tell him how you really feel. It is true though, if Channing's three ball isnt falling (witch was'nt VERY OFTEN), then he is absolutely useless to have out there on the court. And it was the offense and great guard play that got him all of those wide open BRICKS he put up.

Having a stretch 4 that shoots from the top of the three pt line opens lanes for the guards, whether he's making shots or not you still have to guard him.

I think he was mostly signed because he's a good mentor for the young guys though and is Tobias Harris cousin. Not sure if he'll start or not we have Vucevic, O'Quinn, and Dedmon at the 5. O'Quinn, Harris, and Gordon at the 4.

Maybe we can rename it the "lack of appreciation" thread lol

Channing was a hometown hero and he had a big heart (medically speaking). He's just not worth 8 million a year when he only hits 37% without tough rebounding or post D. I'm happy for him and his agent but I really believe he got overpaid; i'm much happier with the Tolliver deal to be honest.

Top 10 offensive PFs according to offensive RPM (minimum 20 minutes per game)

1. Dirk Nowitzki
2. Channing Frye
3. Kevin Love
4. Ryan Anderson
5. Blake Griffin
6. Ryan Kelly
7. LaMarcus Aldridge
8. Amir Johnson
9. Kenneth Faried
10. Serge Ibaka

You've got a few key skills happenin' here: 1) freak athleticism with excellent body control, 2) ability to create own shot, and 3) stretchiness. All the praise goes to those first two skills. But I'm seeing a heck of a lot of #3 in that list.

If you've been a Suns fan for the last five years, perhaps you have memories of the Suns playing good basketball somewhere along the way. If so, chances are Channing Frye was on the court...

In the last five years, out of all units that played at least 100 minutes that season, the Suns had seven total units that were in the top 25 for that season:

+12.3 Dragic-Green-Marcus-Markieff-Frye ('13-14)
+12.2 Bledsoe-Dragic-Tucker-Frye-Plumlee ('13-14)
+12.5 Nash-Dudley-Hill-Frye-Gortat ('11-12)
+14.6 Nash-Carter-Hill-Frye-Gortat ('10-11)
+15.5 Nash-JRich-Dudley-Amare-Frye ('09-10)
+15.2 Dragic-Barbosa-Dudley-Lou-Frye ('09-10)
+12.3 Dragic-Dudley-Hill-Lou-Frye ('09-10)

Perhaps you've noticed that there's exactly one player who was a part of all seven of those units.

Perhaps you've also noticed that there's one year missing from this list -- when the Suns didn't have a unit in the top 25.
