Cubs are building a dynasty if all of these prospects pan out.

I'm not sure if the Yankees are gearing up to make a huge trade before the deadline, or if they're trying something completely unorthodox by their standards, but today they designated Alfonso Soriano for assignment and swapped Vidal Nuno for Brandon McCarthy (and his 5+ ERA).

Braves release Dan Uggla. Well Dan, id like to say it was a fun ride but then id just be a liar. I'm sure he doesn't care though, he'll still earn $18 mil over the next two years.

I think it all depends on how much of a discount he'll be offered at. Someone down the stretch will be in need of a bat, even if it's just for 50-60 at-bats in the last month or two.

Uggla's a good guy and a class act, I wish him well in life but I will hate his guts if he signs with someone else and starts producing after he couldn't do so with us for the past three years, and because of the fact that we're paying him $18 mil.

I don't wanna back myself into a corner like Quake does with his trash talk, but Uggla will do one of two things on the Giants:

1. Absolutely nothing.
2. Look good down the stretch and then catastrophically sh*t the bed when it matters.

The problem with Uggla (well one of the main ones) is that his power just disappeared.

as did his contact, and patience. He strikes out alot and doesn't get very many walks anymore, like he did in his first year with us.

Troy Tulowitzki was at the Yankee game today. Apparently he was in Philly to see a specialist about his hip, and now the internet won't shut up about him going to the Yanks at the deadline.

Would be smart for the Rockies to trade him, but the Yankees would have to give up their entire farm just for the Rockies to pick up the phone

As a fan of baseball, I'd want that trade to happen. Dodgers got that division on lock and the Yanks need a new face of the franchise.

Dodgers could possibly add Lester. They have alot of depth in the minors as well.
