rose was impressive - ahead of teammates - he felt good - sometimes in front of teammates
rose: my confidence is very high - through the roof
rose is relieved to come back on the court - scouts said bouncy
coach k said he looked good
rose got winded a little bit earlier, asked to be taken out because he was giving the most energy on the court compared to others
when he was on court, he looked terrific. no sign of even him missing last year
he clearly trusted his knees - really great first day for rose.
paxson & forman were here today

What does this mean?

i didnt really understand it when brian said it but i think he meant like rose was giving the most energy + in that context, i think brian was meaning that rose was playing in a faster pace than his teammates at times.

My guess is that he is talking about just the basic drills before the scrimmages, sprints etc.
Why so serious?

:o LeBron is 0-7 in game winning/tying FGs in the finals. And is 20/116 or 17% in game winning/tying FGs in the 4th/OT for his career. That's historically bad :o

You realize that's a continuous loop of the same shot, right? Unless you're seeing footage I'm not.

I get the feeling, but its who he is. How he plays. If Rose doesn't conquer his fear he'll never be the same player.

And at some level, it will come down to his body is able to hand a pro career continuing or not. Over protecting that test for a year or something - like Jamal Crawford saying he was tentative for a whole year after the injury - really won't do any good to answering that.

Oh I agree, I just hope that he figures how to play without having to just go hard into the paint all the time. Like mentioned before, I wouldn't mind him playing a bit like a more explosive Billups.

Nothing wrong with that Brian H. No need to create a story about him playing harder than anyone else.

Practice. We're talkin' about practice.

If it was a Chicago writer, I might tend to agree with you. But since it's Windhorst, where's the value in seeing one thing and reporting something else? I'll go ahead and take his word that what he saw was Rose going harder than the others.

And why should that be surprising? Rose has the most to prove.

Winhorst alluded to as much. Basically stating that Rose was great physically but still (as anyone would expect) working to get the stamina up

It's concerning to me on the whole that Derrick stood out because he practiced like it was a real game.

What the hell were the other guys doing? How do not bring your best effort every time you step in the floor, especially in scrimmages?

I'm aware that you need to hold back at times in practice so no one gets hurt and guys are learning to play with each other. It's just alarming in general that Derrick stood out partly because of his effort level.

I would be very excited about adding Waiters, with the full knowledge that we would be banking on his improving in a better environment. That being said he is very young so counting on that improvement is not irrational. We have seen what Thibs can do with PG's who have more limited ability. The idea of Thibs working with Waitiers...half chub

GarPax have always been excellent at talent evaluation and if they have liked Waitiers since he was drafted thats a good sign. A future lineup of Rose, Waitiers, McD, Niko, Noah looks very nice on paper.

We also have a leadership hierarchy here that the Cavs didn't have. Noah, Rose, Gasol, etc won't put up with any ****.

I'd trust Waiters to develop nicely with the Bulls because of the environment and I think the Bulls would be more patient with him because he's already shown that he he can ball. Unlike a guy like Teague who was immature (albeit never a cancerous personality) and rarely looked like he belonged out there.

Waiters just sounds like he needs to grow up and we could provide him the right environment to do that.

You shouldn't question Brian Windhorst's expertise on getting winded. I'd bet he has good experience.

No wonder his shoulders are so ridiculously big.
