Kemba + Lance + MKG + Love + Biz + Big Al as 6th man = very interesting though.

He basically means Love has to have a rim protector beside him, but bringing Jefferson off the bench? Pass.

I got that much, but BD's hate on Big Al is just stupid at this point.

Can you imagine Big Al's numbers playing against bench players though? :o

Biyombo would actually be amazing next to Love, but idmuch rather have Jefferson next to him. Jefferson, Love, Stephenson and Walker would definitely not be a first round exit as he stated. Thats crazy.

Big Al and Love could both start just to be called "starters," but after 3 minutes in they shouldn't see the court together at all.

BOB gets it, as usual. Somebody needs to provide some scoring off the bench since that trade packager for Love sent away all of our bench scoring except for Brian Roberts.

Unless you guys want to see a bench unit of Roberts, Taylor, GRIII, Turiaf and Biyombo. I'm sure that would do fine.

So they both max at 27 minutes? Otherwise they need to play together more often. Maybe play 3 minutes to start each half of the game and in certain situations.

I'm gonna say that if we got K Love on our team bringing Al off the bench and playing him starter minutes (think Manu Ginobli) could easily be the correct move.

This is largely the point. Love is the far superior player compared to Al and we would possibly have plenty of offense in our starting lineup with Kemba/Lance/Love. Al would completely dominate second units to the point where it would be laughable and teams would have to skew their lineups just to not get steam rolled by Al. His defensive problems wouldn't be as much of an issue playing against bench players. Al could still play starter minutes and close games even if he didn't start and it could balance our lineups extremely well.

so you do want to play Love with Al? They can't both get starters minutes without spending a fair bit of time on the court together.

Just feels like a bad fit

I'd trade a package of Big Al, MKG, Vonleh, Gerald and next years 1st for KLove and filler. I think they would consider that too (or should). But I'm also just fine with Big Al and what we have. I'm pumped about the season and its hard to imagine a much different lineup.

Their minutes could overlap but they would spend a lot of time not playing together. Honestly, I don't think K Love would be a downgrade on defense from McBob but Biyombo is just such a perfect fit for Love and I think we would have enough offense without Al if we had Love (remember, Love is a fantastic passer) so I think it would probably be better to balance the lineups as such. The fact that Al is injury prone and could benefit from more energy to spend on defense also make this seem correct to me. This is just a rough idea, but it could go something like: Love and Biz start. Al comes in for Biz around the 6-8 minute mark. Marvin or whoever would come in for Love at the end of the first. Biz and Love come in for Al and whoever around the 6 minute mark. Love closes out the quarter and Al possibly subs back in for Biz after a couple minutes depending on matchups and the game situation. In the second half it would be similar except Al would probably play the last 3 or 4 minutes of the fourth quarter more often than not and Love would probably come out late in the third and come back in earlier in the fourth.

That would have them playing 6-10 minutes a half together and Love would be getting around 36 minutes and Al getting 24-32 (probably around 28-30 most games).

I wouldn't want to give away MKG and would still only do it if Love committed to resigning. Id do Big Al, Zeller, Neal, a 1st round pick, and a 2nd round pick for Love and Martin.

If Kemba/Hendo/MKG/McBob/Al can be top 8 in defense than Kemba/Lance/MKG/Love/Biz could easily be top 3 and is probably better on offense as well. We'd have Martin and Hendo coming off the bench.

Bismack/Love/Williams/Stephenson/Walker misses the playoffs next season. We also wouldn't have quite enough cap space the following summer to make huge moves. This team would absolutely implode if we traded Big Al and half of our key defenders for Kevin Love.

They can play gobs of minutes together unless defense is needed. They'd play a ton together against crappy teams and not so much against good teams. The minutes would average out.

It would be better for us anyway if Al didn't log heavy minutes every game so he'd be fresh for the playoffs.

Not really. All three are below average defenders. Our defense possibly takes a hit depending on who we give up to get him. It isn't going to happen but would make us a very interesting team if we landed him.

Yea, we cant really give them anything that doesn't include MKG or another one of our defenders like Biz, our defense would be horrible. And making him stay in CHA would be nearly impossible.

I like the banter about Love, but really, there is no remote chance of us getting him.

Frankly I doubt we make any trade unless we're offered a quality big for Neal or Hendo.

I would trade for Ilyasova before I traded for Thad Young. I doubt I'd trade both Hendo and Zeller for either one though.
