I putzed around with a couple of the posts that are now blank, and it looks like the links could be repaired without having to hunt up each lost picture. It seems to be consistent in how the addresses for the pictures have changed.

Things that used to start with:

http://www.nba.com/bobcats/sites/bobcats/files/imagecache/image_gallery_default/

now are:

http://i.cdn.turner.com/drp/nba/hornets/sites/default/files/styles/main_gallery_photo__480_tall/public/legacy/photos/

With the picture name after that being the same as it used to be. So we could replace those blocks of text in one step for each post to make them work again. I think so, anyway!

That's just the stuff that was from the Lady Cats site. I'm not sure if there's a shortcut fix for the twitter stuff.

so, i just need to edit the links by copy/paste that 2nd link, but keeping the end name? hmmm, i'll try it on a few.

Spear - your fix works. SWEET! its still a ton of work to repair all those file names though, especially on a laptop. would be much easier if i could do this at work with two monitors and a mouse.

On the posts with like eight pictures, I was thinking you could copy the entire post off of RealGM, paste it into Word, then switcheroo all the links in one text-replace step. Then you could copy from there to put back into RealGM. Would that make it easier?

yeah, that would be easiest. good idea. again, not tough at work, but a pain on a laptop. hopefully i will get around to it one day.

Here's a similar fix for the twitter picture links.

replace:
p.twimg.com/

with:
pbs.twimg.com/media/

So for example, the no longer working:
https://p.twimg.com/AzYOsH9CIAA8Pch.jpg:large
Now needs to be:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/AzYOsH9CIAA8Pch.jpg:large

I used the last post on the first page of the thread to come up with that. All twitter pictures. It doesn't work on the very first one for some reason, but it's good for the rest. I don't know what that one image used to be to try to figure out what is different about it.

its annoying on the netbook. using word works a treat though.
