im just glad we get to see these kind of reports and videos, than embarrasing silence, akward interviews talking about domination where there is none.

at least it was honest reporting how he performed, that he was winded and was smart to take a seat, play under control but still show he can detonate towards rim with athleticism, know the defense and show willingness to play it/compete and how to involve durant  - thats more important on this team than scoring from other positions other than maybe harden/george and rose showed that last time and i hope he will again. all i needed to go get some nice sleep. hope for bit more tomorrow.

I don't belive that : 'playing off-ball' means that we are getting someone else.

I hope he really really really understands what he was doing wrong last year. That he was pushing too much and playing out of control often. I belive that he's lerning to play off-ball to have more ways to score in his pocket and not force drives etc.

"All he has to do is exactly what he did in 2010, which is run the team," Thibodeau said, pointing to Rose's play when the USA captured gold over Turkey in Istanbul. "I think it's a great situation for him to come back in. ... This experience for him in 2010 was a huge plus. I think it helped him with his [2010-11] MVP season, he hit the ground running. He was in great shape. He was ready to go. Because of the talent on this team, he doesn't have to play a lot of minutes. He can find the rhythm of the game, and there's a lot of scoring on the floor. Both of our two guards can handle the ball and run the pick-and-roll, which allows him to come off screens. This team is really built for him."

Interesting, Thibs both noting the consideration of minutes, and also supporting the idea that he'll play off-ball more. However, Thibs, you really need to raise the bar for your 'ball handling SG's'. MDJ and Butler I'm guessing?

Thibs is not referring to Dunleavy and Butler when he says they can handle and run the PnR. He's talking about Team USA -- so he's referring to Harden and (I think) Klay Thompson (or maybe Bradley Beal).

A Doug sighting as well! As excited as I am that we see Derrick Rose play again, I'm also extremely excited about Doug getting a chance in the select team. That will give him a lot of experience with the quality of players he will see during the season, a big headstart IMO. Who knows, maybe he gets a chance to play with the team in Spain too. That would be soo awesome! And I hope Rose and McD are getting to know each other a bit already.

Got my DVR set in Chicago so I can watch when I get back from work. Loving all this talk but trying to stay tempered.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong.
KC: You were asked that question at the news conference announcing Thibodeau's dismissal and you answered yes

You're right, my bad! I was just skimming for quotes, wasn't even thinking of the context.

Jesus I'm so disgusted with idea of Waiters on this team.

Do you realise that his TS% is lower than Jimmy Butler?

Okay, have you've seen him run transition defense? Did you've heard about his ego and fighting Kyrie or Thompson in locker room? Didn't you've noticed his weight? How can a player be overweight and play in the NBA. Isn't there enough evidence that Waiters is just lazy dude.

I loathe idea of Waiters with current Bulls.

Waiters would be a great fit next to rose + hes young and cheap
