I'm not watching the coverage, but I think it's safe to say NBATV isn't choosing to ignore the scrimmage. It's probably at the request of USMNT.

This coverage is ****ing useless. It's 3 guys talking about nothing, with the scrimmage happening behind them where we can't see anything.

Their documentaries are good and their in-game coverage uses a lot of the same Turner guys as TNT.

Besides, like others have said, it's probably not their choice not to show the actual scrimmage.
