haha it's all cool.

Costa was very good. Considering he alone is worth more than the entire Vitesse organisation he damn well should be  He was surprisingly unselfish, really think he is a good signing. I'm interested to see how he does against BPL defenses though.

Btw I'm not sure why Chelsea sent Joao Rodriguez to us. We spent 0.5 million Euros on a striker, which is a lot for Eredivisie teams that aren't traditional top 4, and we seem to value Djurdjevic (dude who scored) more than Rodriguez. No room for him on the wings either, so he's most likely limited to Vitesse's youth squad. Bit strange imo.

Think he's more of a second striker or a winger. He'll probably follow the likes of Cuevas and Hutchinson who are sent to train there lol. I thought Bamford might be sent to Vitesse as he's the most-ready striker prospect we have, but I guess he'll be loaned out to a Championship side instead.

Would've been surprised if Bamford went to Vitesse, given how English players don't tend to go abroad plus he's in demand here

Would've loved for him to go to Brentford (local team, also just promoted to the Championship) but he seems set on Middlesbrough with Aitor Karanka the manager there

I know it was only pre-season but that was very encouraging from Costa. Let's hope he keeps it up, Wallace was another good one today.

That was quick.

Chelsea the only big club to not buy from Southampton. Instead we give them Cork and Bertrand.

Atletico players >>> Southampton players.

Mourinho is doing it smart. Buying proven players who will fit right into his system. There is no place for players like Chambers who need a couple years of development to become world class. Mourinho wants to win as soon as possible. :)

Yeah, if we are going after players in red-and-white stripes, better Atletico than Southampton.

Can't blame him, this is a make or break year for him. Sell prospects at a premium and replace them with better players more suited to the system.

Cech's been outstanding this preseason, and I like him too much. This is gonna be painful.

I hate to say this, but I'm hoping Courtois doesn't have a good pre season so maybe he'll accept being loaned out again. Cech can still play at a WC level for at least 2 years.

You guys got Kurt Zouma? Didn't know that. He's pretty sick.

Signed him in January, but left him in France on loan for the remainder of the year.

He's got all the attributes of a great defender, I hope he learns how to read the game like Terry.
There is no consolation prize. Winning is everything.

Jose Mourinho: "Very good training session for us, I thank them because they gave us what we need. They always try to play football, their passing is intense. It was important to train technically but also physically." (VitesseTV interview)

Ha, take that ChelseaTV xD

Also, he said they are working on one more loan player to Vitesse. My guess is that it will be either a LB, CB or a CDM, most likely just to add depth and for the "Chelsea family inside the Vitesse family", as Mourinho said it. Not expecting any major player, certainly not attackers.

Not sure if its been posted already, but Kakuta is going on loan to Rayo Vallecano. They need to just sell him already

That's definitely true, but you can't teach intangibles. Let's hope he gets a grasp on positioning and vision.
