Does Rondo make sense for the Suns? I'd be down for a S&T for Rondo, although I'm sure he wants the max too. Who doesn't want the max these days.

This is where some in the Suns fanbase are incongruent. Unprotected number ones coming from 15 win teams like the Bucks are for packages involving players like Kevin Love. And if that's the case, the Suns should have no problem offering Bledsoe 4/$63. If he's good enough for a great trade package, he's worth at least 4/$63. I think you guys need to up your minds, because Kyle Lowry (this board's analog for Bledsoe's contract) in trade doesn't bring back what you guys are asking for as it relates to Bledsoe.
You do hold all the cards in the sense that Bledsoe goes nowhere next year unless the Suns agree to it. That said, we've seen this movie too many times before in Milwaukee where a FA or RFA has one good season and then holds the team hostage for a huge contract. In the end, the player gets bitter, stops working out and then if the dispute is settled, rushes back and gets injured because they didn't work out all summer while the contract mess took place.
I'm not a fan of a CBA that allows one year wonders to get paid big, but unfortunately that is the system.
What I don't want is Jabari Parker since he has the same __________ agent as LeBron and Bledsoe.

Luckily for Milwaukee if he lives up to his hype, he will likely deserve a full max deal and it won't be a concern.

By that time, he'll have negotiated 2 contracts. Maybe Parker's body of work will be more extensive, but if it so not, watch out. He is going to have to obtain a contract for Tristan Thompson and he has started making noises about max salary. He added no value to LBJ's deal. He did nothing for Kevin Seraphin of the Wiz, who is playing for a QO.

+1
The comment by PaulPressy is gibberish. Suns fans are incongruent? That makes no sense whatsoever. commentary makes little sense - especially about players who do not work out during contract negotiation. Is this supposed to plant doubt into the hearts and minds of Suns fans? It has the opposite effect with me, if he becomes an injury risk because he does not work out, there is less incentive to offer up any more than Suns have already offered. If it is a subtle suggestion that the Suns need to cut ties so he can go to the Bucks, its delusional at best.

have him start by filling out 1,000,000 all-star ballots for Goran Dragic.

Please, some team please, offer Eric a contract. Who cares, make it 4/55 or whatever. Just do something so that we can match and move on from this silly situation.

Not to worry. Kobe will cry and moan so much they will actually try and win games. We are probably looking at the 8-12 pick from the lakers. They will not be a playoff team but not bad enough to be in the worst 5 in the league.

Nothing against Bledsoe (and I know you can't compare sports) but no way in hell should Bledsoe make more than Patrick Peterson (who is basically the face of the cardinals and a real franchise player).

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 4
do you think this whole "relations going sour" angle was spun internally to try to encourage other teams to offer a bid? if so it's even possible that Eric is feigning discontentment.

Absolutely! Bledsoe has never been one to show emotions, good or bad. Much of this is media & fan sensationalism

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 4
Please, Suns' FO, start reducing the offer to EB for every day he doesn't sign. At the end, the Chinese league needs "stars" too...i'm sure Rich Paul could negotiate a "max contract" for him there.
I can't believe there are guys who think that just because someone had the single digit IQ to pay max money to guys like Hayward, the Suns FO should match the stupidity. So far they are not and that's the right thing to do. Enough said.

Justin Termini on NBA radio suggested the same thing, but he and everybody else in the media agree that what we've offered him so far has been more than reasonable.

Don't fear, the NBA is changing the lottery to prevent the tankage we saw last year from the 76ers (who not surprisingly are against the changes) and the Bucks.
