Couldn't agree more. Him and Duhwight are the two dumbest superstars in the league. They're not winning a thing with those two as the "cornerstones".

I'm really hoping they miss the playoffs this year.

As for Williams I agree with you. He should of stayed in Portland.

Me too, though I doubt they miss the playoffs unless there is a significant injury to one or more of their "cornerstones".

In other news, the Love to Cleveland talks are ramping up again. Is this the worst kept secret in the NBA at the moment? Does anyone actually think that this deal wasn't in place before LeBron committed to rejoining the Cavs?

I dunno I really think they got worse this offseason. They're offense is going to be a lot worse without Lin and Parsons and their bench is awful. And the rest of the west has improved as well, New Orleans is better, Denver is deeper, Memphis improved slightly and Dallas looks a lot better. I have a feeling that Houston's going to be the team to drop out of the playoff picture this year. But who knows I could be way off.

Man that was awful. Might of been worse than than Livingston's injury.

Really happy Kawhi pulled out on his own.

As for Indy it just keeps getting worse than them after that late season collapse. I totally agree with you gumpy they might just be a lottery team now unless Hill, West and Hibbert all seriously step up their games and even then there's no way they get out of the first round.

Having slept on it and thinking I might feel different, I don't. USA Basketball is such a waste of time and such a huge risk for these franchises. I didn't think the Pacers were going to win anything next year anyway but now their season is over before it even starts. Think about how many millions of dollars that is going to cost that franchise.

I don't want to be a hypocrite because I absolutely hate how the NBA has become all about entertainment and money and less about competitive basketball but that is the state of the league right now so I have to live with it.

And they're definitely not going to now either.

As an older fan of the game I can't help but being continuously disappointed by these younger players sulking their way out of losing teams, not having the balls to turn their situation around.

I personally don't rate Love so this news is whatever, but for the rest of the world that thinks he is a superstar, let's see if he can handle this type of pressure.

Staying with the Cavs, I think the biggest question mark will now be on Kyrie Irving. He has to prove he isn't just another chucker and fancy dribbler. Right now, I rate him as just another Marbury. Bad shot selection, at times very selfish and really not the best playmaker.

Going to be just as interesting watching this team try to make it work as it was with the Heat.

So Nike is matching Under Armour's crazy offer to Kevin Durant. 10 years 285 million, that's a buttload of cash.

I'll never understand this type of marketing. I've personally never bought anything from either company because of who they sponsor. It wouldn't sway me in the least if either signed Tim Duncan. I'll buy their stuff if I think it looks decent at a fair price, period.

I'm the exact same way. But I guess it must have some effect because these contracts just keep getting bigger.

**** works man, that money could end up being a drop in the ocean if KD keeps putting up numbers like he has been. And Nike are one of the best at advertising and pushing their stars down the public's throat.

Durant out 6 to 8 weeks with a foot fracture. Not a good start for the Thunder.

I think this gives teams like us and the Clips a good chance to really separate ourselves from OKC early in the season.

Unfortunately I drafted KD with the 2nd overall pick in my fantasy league less than 24 hours ago. Surely he could've considered the implications of that before he went down?

Don't know if any of you watch SportsNation on ESPN but Pops and the coyote gave Michelle Beadle (former Spurs intern and huge Spurs fan) a surprise birthday greeting yesterday. It was pretty cool and you could tell that she absolutely loved it.
