I have zero respect for you and never will have any so move on little know-it-all-wanna-be internet chump.

For the record, I am wrong but when I tried it in the trade machine days ago it would not let me do it.
Couple of points here:
1) I have proved you wrong. I cited 3 trades that happened this month (the Afflalo trade wasn't official until after the moratorium) that do exactly what you're saying we can't do - we were actually involved in one of them.
2) As I originally noted, there are a lot of ins and outs to the CBA and trades. Assuming the Trade Checker actually attempted to keep up with it at the time, I can say that if you tried before 7/15, we were technically over the cap since we hadn't renounced our exceptions. How do you code for that? It wouldn't be easy and I doubt ESPN really cares enough for a free app to get that detailed. If you're willing to fund the changes, I'm sure they'd make your requested changes.

That's exactly what happened, Trade Checker were using over the cap rules for ATL some days ago.
But even without it updated, the rules say we can absorb, as long as we have enough room to do it.

Really? Reported so that one of the mods can finally ban you for trolling.

You are nothing a pure nobody. I am pretty sure the ones that will get the banning or warnings are you and your boy. You don't come to a grown man and tell him to be quiet. If you said it to my face I would put something in your mouth. You don't come to a grown man and call him dense. If you said it to my face I would put something in your mouth. You boys are nothing more than weak little chumps hiding behind the word troll time and time again.

Where is my big bad ban or warning. Did not get either so far. I am of the opinion that the mods can read and they see that you guys are the ones that have been calling people trolls and baiting since day one. You are the real problems here. I am moving on continue to cry to the police to try and get your way.

I think we should just enjoy the fact that we only have one idiot troll here who also tends to disappear when the season starts...thats a much lower percentage than most team boards.

Anyway, besides the fact that we CAN make this trade, as it has been clearly illustrated, I personally don't think Martin is that bad for his salary, its the years left that bother me. I think our focus needs to be on a guard with more of a off the dribble at the rim game. I think we are pretty good with the number of catch and shooters on this team.

Good point. I think Teague is the only one with a proven off-the-dribble game on our team. Millsap can dribble for a PF but that's not something you can consistently rely on.

I think Bazemore is being groomed to be that slashing/off the dribble type. I remember reading somewhere that he was second amongst qualified players to only Lebron on FG% on drives to the basket. I can't speak to the exact volume but between his first step, length and the fact GS tried to work him out at PG I imagine he has a bit of the requisite handles and finishing ability to be more than the typical catch and shoot types already populating the roster.

Close - third after LeBron and Batum.

http://stats.nba.com/playerTrackingDriv ... tOrder=DES

Worth pointing out though that he only averaged 0.8 drives a game, out of 5.1 FGA total, or 16% of his total. Compare to other top drivers:

LeBron - 7.1/17.6 = 40%
Batum - 1.7/10 = 17%
Manu = 4.2/9.2 = 46%
Durant = 5.8/20.8 = 28%

Batum is the closest comparison. Granted this isn't a perfect comparison because not all drives end in shots (some end in assists, TOs, other passes, etc.) but I think it provides some light on what we can expect out of Baze.

Looking more into it, Batum actually looks like a reasonable "best case" comp for Bazemore.

Batum is obviously better across the board, but a poor man's Batum would be a nice asset to have at 2/4.
