This is coming from BR so i wouldn't put much faith in their "sources".

In the future read the article before you comment.

This was the update:

Bob Finnan of the News-Herald provides an update on Kevin Love:

In a rather new development, it now looks as if Love won’t sign an extension with any team in which he’s traded, even the Cavaliers. He can get far more money if he becomes a free agent in the summer of 2015, and re-signs with the team in which he is traded. That puts considerably more risk in a trade, especially if the Cavaliers are giving up a prospect like Wiggins.

Oh i'm so sorry, i usually dismissed BR stuff.

BTW In the future try not to be such an a**.

If Love says he wants to be here, like he has, then yes, we should trade for him.

They go hand in hand though... Only a crappy team would gamble and trade anything of value for a one year rental.

What would you be willing to trade for Love with no guarantee he would stay after this year?

I wouldn't trade for him period if he cannot commit to being here.

Where are you coming up with this? The Cavs will be favorites for the title with him, not a crappy team.

They will be favorites, but certainly not the favorite. That team will be weak on defense, but potentially great on offense. Still weaker than Lebron's Miami teams.

I like what the Bulls have and I'm glad we didn't trade for Love.

lets say it's just the cavs at this point. Lebron won't say he'll stay long term. The team other than bron is just meh. IT'S CLEVELAND

If you were Love, would you agree to a long term deal? Maybe he is aware of the suitors and would rather just become a FA or stay in Minny?

Doesn't seem that far fetched to me

Right-- but the fact that Love won't extend now means that Minny probably gets much less in return: in other words, probably not Wiggins IMO. So Cleveland gets a year of cheap Love (much like the exchange students who are all around me in Amsterdam) and they're probably the title favorites. If they win a title and then Love goes elsewhere, they'll have so much capspace that they can sign a different FA-- maybe even to a short-term deal, or with a player option.

Minny's gonna get screwed. Love is screwing them with his demand to be traded and his refusal to extend with the traded team.

Love stinks.

most Love deals I didn't like anyways.....

however once again lebron has a team uniquely equipped to terrorize D-Rose and the Bulls offense.

Say what you will about Wiggins Offense....but him and Lebron are going to be a nightmare for D-Rose and our wings to score on

hopefully we get enough from our big men to get by them

Wiggins will be traded for Love. That's the point of the Wolves focusing on Cleveland.

But, I agree that I didn't like the rumors of what we were offering. I'd like to see our current team this year.

It's been reported Love has said he will resign with CLE if he's traded there.

This should surprise nobody. I never believed that garbage anyway. It's just not something you do in this business.

Pax dispelling a lot of bogus rumors yesterday. The Bulls were also NEVER contacted about Thibs by any team, contrary to reports by the irresponsible, idiotic media. The NBA media has become a disgusting money grab fighting for hits and views and whoever can make up the juiciest stories get the most.

Hard to blame the team for not wanting to respond to every BS rumor out there. It's just a god damn shame what this World has turned into. People's lives can be destroyed these days because somebody decides to take liberties and spread lies with their twitter or facebook. The NBA media has become such a shameful cesspool of filth in the last decade.

The Wolves aren't "focusing on Cleveland" , they've already traded Love to Cleveland. over a week ago. The deal just cannot be signed for a few more weeks. They're focusing on Cleveland because all the other teams know that a deal is already in place.

or they just lost interest when they found out Love would not sign an ext with anybody.

I've said this before but if the Lakers trade for Bledsoe, Love will be a Laker in 2015 if he doesn't sign an extension this season.

Kinda like D12 when he went to the Lakers. You dont trade for a superstar unless you're 110% sure he's gonna re-sign.

I would think that Love failing to sign an ext with the Cavs would be enough to kill any deal they may have..... unless, of course, the Cavs are that stupid and would actually trade Wiggins without a long term guarantee from Love. I guess with Lebron there they have to be all in for one season and worry about the rest later. But. if Lebron really is there for the long haul, then you would think he would be against doing anything shortsighted and foolish.

While that is true but we can get by with that. If LBJ is on Rose and Wiggins is on..lets say McDermott There is a huge mismatch who ever Kyrie is guarding. If Kyrie is guarding Butler or Snell they'll be getting to the line almost every time they drive to the lane putting Kyrie is foul trouble which would/could change the game.

I dont worry about LBJ guarding Rose 1 on 1. it'll be more tougher for him to score but he's done it.

But what I'm trying to say is we have way more offensive talent(with great potential) then we've ever had before with Rose and now its up to coaching
