Abby out with an unknown injury.

Lotta rumors flying on twitter it's an ACL...

That would suck

It would, but there's always a silver lining when you can IR a bubble player. If he indeed does have a ACL, good chance he comes back stronger next year and with a season of film study.

Oy if it's an ACL, it'll be 1.5-2 years until he's back to 100% normal. Unless he is a freak like AP of course. He was playing catch with a brace after practice yesterday so maybe just a sprain?

Feel bad for Abbrederis, but I don't feel it will affect the Packers in way. We have plenty of WR's and returners.

I squandered an asset? Then Hammond taught me well.

the injury is a bummer if true, but it shouldn't affect their win total at all this year and clears up the wr depth chart very quickly.

even though abbrederis seemingly hasn't taken many return reps in camp thus far, the only noticeable implication of this might be exposing a more valuable position player (cobb, hyde, williams, etc...) to injury as they have to catch kicks/punts in his place.

Seriously doubt Abby is ever a factor in the NFL, and not due to lack of ability.

I keep hearing Richardson and Hyde are playing great in camp. Also ive heard Clinton-Dix is progressing well. What is Burnett's cap situation next year? Could he be out after the season to open up space for Cobb (or whoever they deem worthy?

Well, I can't say I'm surprised Abby got hurt. Feel terrible for him. At least it isn't another concussion.

We are only going to keep 5 WR, probably PS two of them (Janis and one other) and then Abby on the IR. Obviously Nelson/Cobb/Boykin/Adams are locks, last spot comes down to Dorsey and Harper, IMO. Hoping Harper can develop enough to take the last spot. He has a body type we really haven't had at WR.

harper probably has a slight advantage with his experience on special teams. And Dorsey is still practice squad eligible while I don't believe harper is but could be wrong.

I have to believe Dorsey has the edge for the final spot. He's played multiple spots on ST already and from all indications, the Pack really like him.
