What can this franchise do over the next 5yrs to satisfy you

With our recent upward swing, playoff appearance, and willingness and ability to sign free agents what can this franchise do over the next 5years to satisfy/meet your expectations. Do we have to make a Finals appearance in that time span, ECF appearance, multiple mid level playoff seedings, etc?

I know it is a broad question and many things can happen in that time period with the constant moving of players and positions in conference, but do you have a goal in your mind of what this franchise should accomplish? Some people are championships or bust and some are just OK with making the playoffs. I just wanted to gauge the fan base on what would make them happy over the next 5 years.

Personally, I would go with four playoff appearances out of five years, and possibly an ECF birth. It's hard to make the playoffs in this league five straight years due to injury and what not. I think if we can get four out of five years, and an ECF birth I will be happy(this is based on how bad the East is). I would like to see us keep our deserving rookies and still continue to spend money on FAs like we have been. I don't think we can accomplish the four out of five without continuing to progress to get better and that starts with spending money. I also would like to see our rookies develop better. This is a huge weakness for us and rather detrimental to our progression as a franchise. If we can step it up in player development I feel confident this franchise can take off.

I want to see this franchise go further in the playoffs than it has ever been before, which means the ECF or the Finals. If we can get to the ECF I will be satisfied because we would have accomplished something that has never been done by a Charlotte NBA team.

If our young lineup of:

Kemba
Stephenson
MKG
Vonleh, and
Biyombo

develops to their full potential then I don't think it's out of the question to have championship aspirations.

I'll be satisfied if the organization continues this upward trajectory and elevates the stature of the franchise to year-in-year-out respectability. There's no way to guarantee success, but I at least want to see management avoid obvious bonehead decisions and establish an expectation of wins rather than losses, something the Bobcats never really managed.

It's also very important that if/when the team finds a core that can compete for conference championships we don't pinch pennies the way other small market teams do. I understand the logic behind not paying the tax for a 30-45 win club, but if we get into 55+ win territory I want to see the franchise spare no expense if we're in sight of the mountain top. I don't want to see MJ pass on getting a valuable player with the MLE, or doing something like OKC did when they unloaded Harden, just to save a bit of cash.

If we can do both those things, I'll be satisfied.

2. Consistent attendance in the #10 to #20 range (no more bottom 10)
3. National recognition of players, coaches (like JT said, homegrown All-Star would be a start)
4. Obvious growth of young players, no more busts and guys who plateau in year two
5. Stay out of trouble (don't want to see our guys in the news for the wrong reasons)

I like this and agree with it. I'd like to see us on TNT from time to time, and at least ESPN on Wednesday or Friday.
