Washington Wizards: The best roster in the East?

Post#1 » by LloydFree » Sat Aug 2, 2014 1:23 pm

Because of the Paul George injury and Lance Stevenson leaving, the Pacers roster doesn't look like a playoff team anymore. I assumed Chicago and Cleveland would outclass everybody else in the East. But in checking the Wizards' roster, I found they may be better than Chicago. Cleveland would pass them if they get Love. But for now, I like Washington.

WASHINGTON WIZARDS
John Wall / Andre Miller
Bradley Beal / Martel Webster / Glen Rice Jr
Paul Pierce / Otto Porter
Nene / Kris Humphries
Marcin Gortat / Drew Gooden / Dejuan Blair

Disagree?

Maybe not the best roster in the east but they are competitive and very balanced with 3-point shooting, speedy & athletic guards, and good interior presence.

I see them under the cavs, bulls and heat right now because wall and beal are still young, but if they do even better than last year I can see them surpassing any of the three teams.

They are easily number two to the Cavs depending on how big of a leap Wall makes.

No way are the Wizards easily number two. Wizards are right around 4-5 seed in the east. Miami Cleveland Chicago top 3

What? No.

Cleveland (they are getting Love) and probably Chicago have better rosters.

Chicago is the best roster in the East.
Then Cleveland
Then Miami
Then Indiana (even with PG out)
Then Toronto
Then we can argue whos got better roster, if Atlanta or Was...

What a joke...Washington the best roster in the east,.

Anywhere from 3 or 4 after Chi/Cle, then the Wiz or Raps are 3rd-4th.

Then you have a bunch of teams in the 5th-8th mix.

I love watching Wall play but Wiz ate getting hella overrated... Let's see if they can stay healthy... They have worse injury concerns then the Nets..

Bulls are better if Rose is ready

Rose>Wall
Butler=Beal
McDermott<Pierce
Gasol>Nene
Noah>Gortat

Bulls also have the better 2nd unit and better coaching.

What? I don't think they are a playoff caliber team without PG. They don't have **** on the offensive end without him. They're best player is going to be Roy Hibbert and we know what he's worth. I doubt they make the playoffs really, I'll be surprised if they do.

The Wizards are probably a mid-tier team in the east, I think Cleveland and the Bulls have a better roster for sure, not sure about the Raps and the Heat.

I really don't see how Chicago has a better roster than Washington. Better coached? Yeah, by a mile. But not better roster. Washington has a better backcourt, and the Bulls are better and deeper at 4 and 5. At best, they are equal.

Wall > Rose
Beal > Butler
Pierce > Dunlevy
Nene < Gasol
Gortat < Noah

Wizards have a good roster and now have some playoff experience. They are going to be a relatively good team.

Last year, the east was two teams than mostly crap and crappier.

This year, the east has a solid grouping in the playoff tier as long as:
- Wade stays healthy. If so, I think Miami is going to be just fine.
- Toronto steps up. They kind of snuck up on people last year. People aren't going to take them lightly this year.
- Washington continues to play well and stays healthy.

The Wiz are going as far as Wall and Beal carry them. Both have the potential to be very good players, so it's a matter of whether or not they're able to take another step towards stardom.

Rose has barely played in two years, and he was hot garbage in the little bit of time he played last year. Now you think he will come back better than Wall? Be serious.

Their starting line up is ok but I don't really see their 2nd team as competitive.

How is Miami better than them?

They're the same team as last year but have an older Wade, and replace we all know who with Deng, McBob and Granger?

Washington's better than Miami.
