First off best wishes to Paul George - tough loss for him. Probably out the year

and not trying to make George's injury insinficant or just away to make a point

But this should be an eye opener for Eric.

Come back, bring something like 54/4; structure it how the Suns want too an play ball

No, I was biking, but same principal. It was gruesome, gross and horribly painful. I can also confirm what others have said about how adrenaline and shock make you numb to it pretty quick... but that wears off, but hopefully not before the morphine kicks in.

I've broken my tib fib once... and I broke my femur/tib on a separate occasion. Femur pain is so bad that I was oblivious to the tib fracture. In the femur break I also hurt my knee, and thats why I know from expirience... The bones mended in about two months, the muscles were strong enough to feel somewhat normal (not play in an NBA game but walk around without discomfort) about a month later, while the knee took forever.

Dude, that sounds horrible. Were both fractures from biking? :o

Are you kidding me? Soccer athletes are more athletic and conditioned than any NBA player! I am a fan of both sports and especially football since I played in college 4 years

Basketball is the softest sport I have witnessed lately!

How can a 6 ft 8 - 265 lb Lebron James get wrist checked and flipped to ground?????

That's the definition of Pansy

I SAID NO FLOPPING IN SOCCER? :banghead:

You my friend are ridiculous. There is flopping in soccer for sure. Extra Time takes into consideration, there are rarely substitutions (Rest), No time-outs. The players are 160-190 lbs and just ran 20 miles in a game and get slide tackled! There is a reason behind them flopping and laying down. It may piss people off but there is a strategic reason.

ALSO LEBRON is 6'8 - 265 lbs. A slap on the wrist causes him to fall down! What a lil Puss

Soccer is definitely not tougher your out of your mind.

It's a no contact sport.

Ppl don't realize the hustle of basketball either you only get 24 seconds you basically need to sprint.
What you rather do run for 5-8miles (if that's true) and then get a long rest off.

Or
Sprint 30-40mins a game and play like 3-4 games a week with contact involved.

Your body starts to become sore... Why they want to shorter the nba season

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.

Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

SOFTEST SPORT- NBA - Timeouts, Substitutions, Standing Around, and the worst Flopping I have seen with Huge Athletic Men.

Never said it isn't tough! You have to be an athlete for sure to play in the NBA. Just saying its not the same as it was in the 90s. Jordan would score 50ppg with the hand check foul.

I am not a fan of soccer at all, basketball and football (the real kind... MERICA!!!) all the way, but soccer players are the most conditioned athletes of them all. It is so constant that they have to be. Yes it is boring for someone like me, yes its wussafied with all the flopping and punks acting to get a call (nba was headed there full steam), but those dudes have to be in super shape to do l of that running.

Having played both sports, (though basketball much more seriously) and watched both my whole life, I think basketball has the better athletes- they have the more rare physical traits for jumping, sprinting, muscle memory, body control, but soccer players are typically extremely well conditioned- something NBA players should take note of.

Soccer fans are more annoying than the game

They are always crying for respect. We get it. Its a difficult sport to master, more fun to play than to watch, and one that takes supreme conditioning. But if you want to compare professional sports on a 'conditioning level', my vote goes to Tennis players.

Can't we all agree that Soccer and Basketball require skill and that it would be beneficial to cross train?

After all, cross training sure helped out the greatest Sun of all time:

Well Nash did win two MVPs, and while I like everyone you listed, I think that no one else won that many.

However, I do think it is cool that both Westphal and Hornacek both played guards and coached. Let's hope Hornacek can do what Paul did not.

while i thank 'him' for helping us get Archie Goodwin Man of Action and player-to-be-determined-in-2015, i will refuse to acknowledge him until he gets his dissolution-litigation-loving ass out of that disgusting Laker jersey.

I've played a lot of sports, not particularly well but I've played them. I would say the one that required the most conditioning, the one that just kicked my butt even when I was in great shape, was Water Polo. Basketball or perhaps Ballet probably have the greatest athletes of any "sport" but I'm not sure that Soccer isn't more work than perhaps either.
