Tony Parker signs extension with San Antonio !

Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”

Sham says the max extension value would be 3y/43m. That's probably what Parket got. It would start at 13.4m. (assuming it's not a front-loaded deal).

2015-16: $13,437,500
2016-17: $14,445,312
2017-18: $15,453,124

I kinda had the feeling before that he might bolt based on some of things he's said in the past so i'm really happy to see him locked up.

I'm guessing Pop's committing to coaching for another 5 years or so had a lot to do with Parker signing this extension.

Sham's just amazing. How has a NBA team not hired him yet? I don't think the guys that drafted the CBA know as much about it as him.

Indeed.

Woj was the 1st one reporting the value @ 3y/45m and Sham quickly replied that a max extension would be 3y/43m at most and he was right

It's a good deal, especially considering how great his last one was. Crazy for how good he's been he never got a max contract
spurs are gonna win in 07 quote me on it....

It's pretty amazing that a player of his caliber's going to go his entire career without ever making close to max money for even one season.

Its a two way street and the player also has to be willing. Its amazing how lucky we are as a franchise to have a core group of guys who value winning above their own financial status.

not happy with this deal, i dont think this clown deserves a loyalty contract or a contract for past accomplishments even when he took paycuts; which was the correct value

had he earn his market value on previous contract during the last 7 years after 07 championship, ppl would be calling him out for his epic choke jobs and not worth the contract..aka overrated

seems like everyone who was a spurs FA this summer took a paycut besides this clown and his countrymen diaw... :(

looks like kawhi is up next for an extention, if they dont give him 15m a season or max...he is gone, you can include danny green who is also a FA end of this 13/14 season, who wants to play with a ballhog coatrides and gets bailed out by role players doesnt get any credit....

every backup pg who has bailed out this clown has gotten the short end of the stick, while this clown continues to get contracts
