Agreed. Had he taken the QO, it would have been close to impossible to trade him because of the "no-trade clause." With this, we would have 1-2 years to evaluate him further and we can move him for assets if we felt he wasn't a good long term fit.
It's not as good as him agreeing to the 48/4 deal we have on the table but it's much more preferable to the QO.

Good pick up but I'm still not worried. In the end, I think we are not comfortable with giving Bledsoe the deal he wants because of his short resume. If he shows he's a 20/5/5 (or better) player again and stays healthy, I think we would be much more comfortable to give him the deal he wants.
