I can tell you that Hinkie would want no part of Martin or Mbah a Moute. They aren't going to do anything for this team this year or in the long-term.

Martin could be flipped at the deadline for picks, and Moute is an expiring. I'd like to keep Martin but we need roster spots for Robinson III and Bennett

Don't think Hinkie would want that. I think he's looking for young players and/or picks. That has been the theme of everything he's done so far as GM. Don't really think he's looking to take on veteran salaries and help teams clear cap space unless he gets major incentive to do so, like a top 15 pick.

Not sure Shabazz is his type of guy. He passed on him last year, not sure why he'd want him this year. I'm guessing he'd want to get out of a 3-way deal with either Bennett, Waiters, LaVine, or a solid pick if he's going to dump Thad and/or take on a big salary. And even Waiters I question, because he doesn't seem like a Hinkie guy.

If not, I think Hinkie holds onto Thad and drops out of this deal.

Martin Barea (expiring) Mbah a Moute (Expiring) and Shved (expiring) is about 20 million with only about 7 on the books next year. Gives you shooting in Martin, a leader for Embiid in Mbah, and a couple streaky shooting guards.
We'd probably throw in a couple seconds, but why would they Wolves give up a first for a one year rental of Young?
He'll I'd even give you Shabazz

As the man said above, 'there is no penalty for getting to the minimum'.

I wouldn't take back Martin's contract in that package without getting a 1st. If its just Barea, aMoute and Shabazz for Thad Young, that's fair in my book.

Shabazz has been terrible, and I doubt Hinkie thinks he is a good prospect. I think Hinkie is eyeing a first, or Anthony Bennett. If there's no first, or no Bennett, then I really can't see Hinkie pulling the trigger

To be fair Shabazz didn't get a shot last year. Adelman hates rookies, and rarely played him.
Per 36 he averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds

Don't know if Hinkie would have interest in Shabazz. Mbah is Embiid advisor so I'll take him. Mostly depends on how Hinkie values Shabazz. He doesn't seem to fit the analytic stuff, but that is only part of it.

No one is saying you wouldn't get a sweetener for taking on an expiring contract or two, and the Wolves beat writers have flat out said isn't Martin isn't getting moved. I would assume Philly would get some combination of Bennett, Robinson, Muhammad, and the Cavs #1. Not all of them but one or two of those way couple of expiring a for Thad.

His 18 points per 36 came on awful efficiency (and on each side of the court). So it is not a matter of a guy who put up something good just not much of it, it a player who was poor and so poor he played little.

He shot 46% which was one of the best percentages for rookie wings so I don't know how he's inefficient...

I would love Bennett, and if I am being honest given that Thad is not part of the future, I think that is a steal.

However, if we aren't getting him then I'm not sure that there is anything else that I would want( other than things you wouldn't offer like Levine) that would make me want to deal now. I would rather get to the trade deadline and try again than take crap.

If the Sixers were willing to deal cap space for a late first rounder the. They would have taken the LIN deal from Houston.

Thad is a very good player and teammate. In fact he is better than fans of other teams realize. He is what he is though. He will not be a star, and he probably isn't a starter on a good team, but he can play. He is a great guy and influence in our locker room so there is no pressure to deal him.

He will probably opt out at the end of the year and go elsewhere though.

FG% isn't the stat I would use for efficiency. Conversely, something like his TS% was pretty crap.

What a ****. What a wasted opportunity of an interview

Edgecombe/Grimes/Gordon
George/Oubre/Edwards

I don't see them moving any of their young pieces for him.

I'd move anything outside of
Rubio
Dieng
LaVine
Robinson III
And soon to be Wiggins(!!!)

You like Glenn Ronbinson's potential more than Shabazz's?

Absolutely.

I didn't see anything that bad. He wasn't nasty towards him.

Not that he was nasty or anything. But what did this guy want to get out of Wiggy with his questions? I just felt like that interview could have been much more productive, simply a waste IMO.

Yeah, I saw a lot of guys upset on the General board about this. I guess it's me. I really didn't see anything wrong with the questions, just that Wiggins is kind of an awkward speaker at this point in his career.

What do you think of Shved? As he could be a candidate to be traded here

I think part of the frustration is that Wiggins has no role in determining whether or not he'll be traded. Not much he can say. Yet the guy asks the question 5 different ways. "How do you feel about a procedural rule preventing you from getting traded?" The kid already said he wants to play where he's wanted.

He ran the question into the ground.

Fired? He will be rewarded.

Everyone is talking about this and embedding the YouTube video. Wiggins looked ridiculously awkward. ESPN created news. What more could they ask for?

Hmm.. I guess there really isn't such a thing as bad press huh?

I feel like the video woulda been talked about regardless though, especially since it's an interview with one of the most-hyped rookies in a while.

It is pretty telling that Wiggins hasn't talked to Bron yet. And I am sure Bron didn't leave out Wiggins in his letter by mistake. So based on the circumstantial evidence that we have it is quite clear that Bron is very instrumental in getting Love to Cleveland. It also ridicules his bogus assertion that Cleveland wouldn't be competitive from the start and that in reality it was all about coming back home.
