Marquez Wilson Injured - Broken Clavicle

Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson fractured his clavicle during Monday’s practice, the team announced. No immediate timetable for his return was given, though the best-case scenario would likely be 4-6 weeks.

“I’m extremely disappointed,” Trestman said. “He was continuing to ascend."

Wilson was carted off the field after suffering the injury diving for a pass from Jay Cutler.

"That’s the hardest part about coaching in practice," said Trestman. "You hear us say it all the time, ‘stay off the ground, stay off the ground.’ And diving for balls is one of the most difficult things not to do when you’re a competitive player. We promote it, we talk about it, a lot, but in my experience it is very difficult to stop."

Things just can't be normal. I expect the defense to be fully healthy and the offense to be a M*A*S*H unit.

How long does this type of injury usually last?

I'm hearing half the season, at least. All depends on severity. A quick Google of the typical recovery time was 3-4 months. Usually athlete's are better, but that's a lot of time where he won't have conditioning and will likely lose any weight he put on.

It took me a day to even come here after i heard this. Fleet is right - we can't just get normal.
The only positive is that he had surgery. So even if he's out 2 months we'll have him for most of the season.

Chris Williams, opportunity is calling you.

This was terrible news to get, but like emperorjones said, it presents an opportunity to for Williams, as well as our other receivers. I'm personally interested to see what Morgan can do if he gets the chance.
