Lucky to be/Enjoy being a Thunder fan!

Hey folks, was just bored skimming through the forums and I saw about 3 or 4 threads on the General board alone about KD, and it made me really start thinking about how lucky we all are.

We are so lucky to have this team as really the first group since the move from Seattle. KEVIN freaking DURANT.. this guy is the best player since Lebron, and we have the honour of watching and cheering for him every night.. Everybody in the league is hoping he becomes a free agent in 2 years to even have an opportunity to talk to somebody we have drafted and been able to cheer for since day 1..

That is not to mention my personal favourite player, Russ. The main reason I have become such a die hard basketball fan the last few years. This guy is absolutely incredible to watch and could be a top 5 athlete in the world regardless of the sport, in my opinion the best PG in the game right now. As well as Ibaka, a perennial DPOY candidate and another guy who is really a thrill to watch.

Yes, it pains me still that we lost Harden, especially after seeing how good he can be in a primary role with Houston, but seeing our big 3 continue to develop and see how our young guys keep improving and hopefully getting us to the ultimate goal of a championship is just so rewarding to me. I think we have the most exciting team in the NBA to be a part of right now.

I don't know where KD, Russ, Serge or who else will end up in the future long term, or if we will ever get over the hump and win, but being able to enjoy watching these guys and being lucky enough to have 3 of the most exciting players in the league on our team at one time has really made me love the game and made me an OKC fan for life, regardless of any outcome!

Also, enjoy the ride folks. And some of the gen board threads on any number of teams planning on KD coming to them. Whether he stays or not, OKC's had a blast so far, and at least 2 more years!

Great post. I share a lot of the same sentiments. I'm hopeful our big 3 finish their careers in OKC but I'd still hope they succeed elsewhere if they decide to move on. But my favorite team will always be OKC. I agree we are lucky to have so much talent on this roster. I mean, we are loaded. If the young guys step up this year, we will be tough to stop in the playoffs. This year could be the start of something truly special and has all the makings of a wild finish.

I am a huge Thunder fan from Vancouver Canada. I really started loving the game right after OKC moved from Seattle. As you can see I am only 2 hours driving distance from Seattle so the possible scenario of KD/Russ still playing for the Sonics right now pains me, but I absolutely love this team. I am happy to see my two favourite players (RW,KD) have both of there draft pictures with Sonics jerseys on, so the history is still there. OKC fans are nuts though and if the team had to move I don't think they could have gone anywhere better.

KD, Russ, Serge, and Harden are the reason I fell in love with this team and I will be fans of theres forever, like us all I hope they stay here and end there careers. But I can honestly say, if in 3 years from now, we had Jackson, Lamb, Jones, Mcgary and Adams starting, I would still be there glued to my TV.

Cant wait for the season, think this is our year with the dismantling of the Heat! We get through LAC and SA, I like our chances!

Hasheem being one of the five oldest players is incomprehensible to me, he seems like such a fun loving young kid.
