If we S&T Monroe what would you want

I'd like young talent to build with Drummond. Olynk & Green or Sully and a pick might be in the mix.

A starting small forward is at the top of the list.

Batum
Leonard
Wiggins
Parker

Bigger players are more valuable all things being equal.... So ppl have to realize giving up a productive PF for an SF, that SF can't be subpar at all.
If you give up a productive young big for an older or subpar SF, there better be a high first round draft pick involved.

SVG knows that, that's why he wants value for Monroe.
SVg would rather be "stuck" with the best front line in the league than give away value for nothing.
You need 2-way wings, 2-way shooting bigs, and you can't allow low iq players on the court. Assist/turnover ratio is crucial. Shooting point guards are icing on the cake IF they are plus defenders.
Weaver & Casey, govern yourselves accordingly!

I know everyone is making a sticking point about getting a starting 3, but if we traded Monroe I would consider big depth to be an almost equal need. Without Monroe we are looking at playing Aaron Gray 35 minutes a night if Drummond gets hurt.

Atl - Millsap

Boston - Jeff Green, Olynyk, LAC 2015 1st (may seem like a lot given Celtics fans think KO is the greatest thing since sliced bread, but I put Green at neutral value, if not slightly negative due to his contract).

OR Rondo (I like him better than most do)

Knicks - Bargnani exp, Shumpert, rights to a pick swap (Bargs can give us depth and shooting, Shump is a lotto ticket that may thrive with a change of scenery, pick swap could be nothing or could be good)

Toronto - Amir & T. Ross ( a big price tag but tough to make things work with them)

Wizards - Nene & Otto Porter (another team that's tough to make things work with)

OKC- Perkins, Lamb, Perry Jones (I think OKC is a really great possible destination but they appear to be entirely uninterested in spending money and look like they are actively trying to get Durant to leave)

Suns - Bledsoe

I struggle to come up with other teams that make sense for Greg and can make a S&T at his salary work.

A quality starting small forward, or future first round pick(s). That's all I'd want for Monroe, nothing outrageous.

Barnes/Speights won't get enough salary to make it work.

I used to think Denver, but they've got Faried and I don't think Monroe & Faried can play together. Neither has range and neither can protect the rim and Faried is going to get paid next offseason.

I'd want to not S&T our best offensive player currently.

That is good trade. I would just throw LAC 1st pick in there.

Done.

And they've spent where they can, they just used most of the MLE, and have no cap space. The only way to add salary is trade. I do this in a heartbeat.

I think OKC is the perfect landing spot for Greg. Ibaka can provide spacing and rim protection, allowing Monroe to focus on scoring/passing from the post.

If this were the deal, heck I'd even add a pick, but I'd gladly do it. They'd have Ibaka/Adams/Monroe/McGary all going forward and Monroe fits perfectly with Ibaka. Adams could get minutes as a defensive C when needed, but Monroe would definitely be of interest if this were the price.

i'd ask for jackson, jones, and perkins and maybe even a future pick, but yeah, OKC really is the perfect spot for moose.

From OKC I'd want either Adams/Lamb/Perkins or Jackson/PJIII/Perkins - one of Adams or Jackson would have to be in any deal IMO.

If Monroe to OKC is an option, I don't need a pick or PJIII -- I'd prefer Mad Mitch. Mitch, Lamb, Perkins.

Yeah, see that's the problem. OKC couldn't afford to give Adams or Jackson. I understand that not being enough, but if they gave one of those 2 it's just creating another hole in the roster by fixing one. It would likely have to be something w/o Adams or Jackson, which understandably Detroit may not be interested in at all. If they were to like a combo of Perk/Lamb/PJ/pick (or sub McGary for Lamb or PJ) I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it's not enough for most.
