Yes sir. Which is why I said time and time again that long term security with a bit less money >>> QO. PG never really had an injury history and something like this freak injury happened to him, on a scrimmage of all places.

Moose would be downright silly to take the QO.

Not sure if it entirely changes his mind, but it sure as hell enters the conversation with Falk. He could get injured this summer even before he gets the QO and would be really f--ked. Feel bad for George, but this can only help the Pistons.

Monroe just has to come around it reining in his agent once he is done negotiating. It'll likely get resolved within August. Otherwise the Pistons organization would not be this inactive they'd be scrambling.

Lol @ "obviously some conflict here", all that confirmation bias towards toward reaching this conclusion...There could be a tweet from Woj saying "Monroe is very happy with SVG's terms and long term outlook, but no contract yet" and the cognitive dissonance of some on here would suggest Monroe is somehow disgruntled, "dur hurr stress," or the classic, "who does he think he is waaaah." It's such a tiring thing, fighting through all that nonsense.

I just take solace that it's literally one guy that's been suggesting there's tension over the majority of others. But hey, we're all naive and blind to the truth, what do we know right? It's like dealing with a man child.

Well, it interests me if the first is likely fairly good. Like expected to be in the 10-15ish range.

In theory yes Boston can package Bogans and Baab expiring salary with James Young and Olynyk and that would be enough salary for Boston to give Monroe 14.7 mil but Boston would end up over the Tax Apron. They would have to move 3 mil to get under the apron and then they would not be able to sign Evan Turner to more than the minimum salary.

Boston has Bass who is an expiring 6.9 mil. But this may be were PHI comes into the picture. I can see Boston being willing to give up a first round pick to unload Gerald Wallace's contract, Boston also has the rights to PHI's pick this year though it is lottery protected and turns into two seconds if they don't make the playoffs. There is a chance that Boston has this deal arranged with PHI for Thad Young already and was trying to use it to get Kevin Love and now instead may try to use it to get Monroe.

If DET comes away with Olynyk, James Young and Thad Young for Monroe they are doing okay. PHI gets a first and maybe two for Thad Young and Boston gets Monroe and is able to stay under the tax threshold.

Uh, yeah, that's a lot more than "OK". That'd be awesome.

It sounds like Thad is going to Minnesota though when the Love trade can go through. Obviously nothing is official but I doubt any of the teams renege on it. To be honest I'm not particularly enamored with his fit in Detroit anyways so him not being a piece coming back for Monroe isn't a dealbreaker for me.

Agree 100% with both points. The second one, though, is still the big concern - it isn't that Monroe isn't going to be on our team next year, but what can we get back.
