Yanks just took 3 of 4 from the Tigers and their mega-rotation. The only loss was an extra innings game in which David Price got a ND.

I'm definitely not saying the deal was a bust, I'm just surprised the Yankees fared that well. I was expecting their season to die by the end of the week.

Great stuff from Jon Lester last night. 122 pitches? I would have took Jon Lester out after 8th innings.

Woot Harps with the walk off yesterday.

Now time to bury the Braves this weekend.

even at our worst, we still find a way to beat the Nats head to head.

Glad we won the must win series vs. the Nats. Thankfully we avoid Kershaw in this upcoming 4 game set vs. the Dodgers.

He's pretty good. Might let him in my top 5 current pitchers.

You're not seeing Greinke or Kershaw in a 4 game set. Oh and Han-Ram is on the DL.

This is the greatest gift a team playing a 4 game set against the '13 and '14 Dodgers could ask for...

Not writing my boys off...but not thrilled.

I don't think it matters. If you're not a Nationals pitcher then you have an equal shot with everyone else of shutting out the Braves. We actually scored runs on Kershaw and Greinke, which technically makes them two of the worst pitchers in baseball.

Strasburg and Gonzalez should never ever pitch against the Braves. Alter the rotation, do whatever we have to do, but they both consistently suck balls vs. the Braves, especially in Atlanta.

At least we didn't get swept and all three games were close, unlike before where we usually get blasted by 5+ runs.

Well, no matter what happens the rest of this series, we've taken the season series from the Braves with our 4th victory over them.

Losing with Teheran on the mound...no bueno.

Correia actually got some offense for once and looked good.

GO ROYALS!

8 game winning streak.

Half game lead in the central over the Tigers.

Lol if Detroit loses this after the David Price deal.

The Dodgers and everyone not named the Nationals. I'm glad the Braves have collapsed earlier than usual, though. No distractions during football season.

The Royals are something else. Their bullpen is lights out. If the Royals starting pitchers give the bullpen a lead in the 7th inning, 8th inning, or 9th inning, forget about it! Their bullpen is going to close it out.

The A's continue to struggle without Cespedes. Their offense is painful to watch.

Don't they still have the best offense in baseball and they play in a pitcher's park? It's a small string of games. Cespedes' offense wasn't even that good, I think they'll approximate his offense eventually with their platoon bats.

They'll continue to be the best offense in baseball without him. The reason they were this good was not Yoenis Cespedes, it is their platoon strategy.

I'd like to thank the Dodgers for single handedly allowing us to build a 4 game lead in the division despite playing really mediocre baseball.

Definitely go Royals. Always been a fan of there's since their GM is a fellow George Mason alum.
