Tuesday, June 12--------------------- 7:05pm
Fausto Carmona, RHP (7-1, 3.11) vs Scott Olsen, LHP (4-5, 5.27)

Scouting Report:
Indians: Carmona returned to his brilliant form of weeks past on Thursday afternoon in tossing seven innings of one-run ball against the Royals. So in control was the right-hander that just one Kansas City player advanced to second through his first six innings. And perhaps the best sign is that 11 of his 16 outs put into play came on ground balls, a sure sign that his devastating mid-90s sinker was working well. The right-hander is putting up numbers that must make him a candidate to make next month's All-Star game. Despite spending some time at Triple-A Buffalo, Carmona has seven wins and his 3.11 ERA is ninth-best in the league. This will be Carmona's first career start against the Marlins.

Marlins: Olsen's struggle with his control prevented him from getting the win in his last outing. He left his start against the Braves last Wednesday with a 5-2 lead, but only made it through 4 2/3 innings because he walked five and pitched into several deep counts. At one point, he went to a full count to four consecutive hitters. Walks have been Olsen's bugaboo and the primary factor in preventing him from pitching past the sixth inning in eight of 11 starts. Olsen has walked at least one in every start, and the five free passes he issued against Atlanta were a season high.

Wednesday, June 13------------------- 7:05pm
Cliff Lee, LHP (2-4, 6.31) vs Byung-Hyun Kim, RHP (3-2, 5.74)

Scouting Report:
Indians: Lee's struggle to stay efficient and in command of a ballgame continued in his previous start against the Reds on Friday. He gave up four runs on four hits with three walks and three strikeouts over six innings. Four hits might not sound like much, but three of those hits were home runs, as Lee was elevating some of his pitches. He has had particular trouble locating his fastball, and the opposition has taken advantage. Lee hasn't won a game in four starts. Lee was actually an eighth-round draft pick by the Marlins out of high school, but he opted to go to the University of Arkansas.

Marlins: Kim's previous start was his first hiccup since joining the Marlins' rotation, as he allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings against the Rays. That was as many runs as he had allowed in his first four starts with Florida combined. Kim was spared from the loss when the Marlins rallied back from an 8-2 deficit, and he still hasn't suffered a defeat since being acquired by Florida.

Thursday, June 14------------------- 7:05pm
To be announced vs Dontrelle Willis, LHP (7-5, 4.74)

Scouting Report:
Indians: This was scheduled to be Jeremy Sowers' turn in the rotation, but the Indians instead demoted the struggling left-hander to Triple-A Buffalo. As of Sunday, the club was still mulling over its internal options for this start. The options at Buffalo include right-handers Jeff Harris (2-4, 6.02 ERA in 11 starts), Sean Smith (5-3, 4.35 in 11 games, including eight starts), Bubbie Buzachero (2-2, 3.96 in 15 games, including two starts) and Jake Dittler (3-1, 5.23 in seven games, including one start). There's also left-handers Jason Stanford (4-1, 3.41 in 12 games, including 11 starts) and Aaron Laffey (2-3, 5.46 in five starts). None of those pitchers is on the 40-man roster, but the Indians have an available roster spot.

Marlins: The D-Train was saddled with his second consecutive loss Saturday after allowing four runs on eight hits and four walks in seven innings against the Rays. Willis has allowed at least three runs in 10 of his 14 starts this season and has walked at least three hitters in seven of his past eight outings.

Good win last night for the Tribe to take care of the series espeially beating Dontrelle. I will now be able to catch most of the games now that the Cavs are done playing and I am pretty hopefully that this team should be a force come October espesially if we can get some of the guys to start hitting better.
