We're RealGM's Users of the Week

Post#1 » by humanrefutation » Thu Aug 14, 2014 12:38 am

Take a bow, everyone.

From the latest Mass Dispatch:

Mass Dispatch User (s) of The Week

Our Green Bay Packers Forum Users

The RealGM Green Bay Packers Forum is a success story for our NFL Forums.

While it's Moderators Global Moderator MickeyDavis and Senior Moderator PaulPressey25 are outstanding, they also have a great base on those Wisconsin Forums.

The Discussion on the forum is great and it is an example of how an NFL Team Forum can be successful on RealGM.

viewforum.php?f=161

All of our Packers Users contribute to this and it is why they are our User (s) of The Week.

Congratulations to our Green Bay Packers Forum Users!

Mass Dispatch Thread of The Week

The Green Bay Packers Forum Training Camp Thread

viewtopic.php?f=161&t=1337833

I wanted to highlight the thread that Global Moderator MickeyDavis told me was the best thread on our Green Bay Packers Forum.

It has a nice discussion about The Packers and helps get you in the mood for football.

Congratulations to our Green Bay Packers Forum!

I really enjoy this forum and the discussions we have here. Thanks to everyone for making this a good place to intelligently discuss Packer football.

Quality over Quantity on the Packers board.

To be fair it's easy to make quality posts about a perennial winner. Every argument ends with "I disagree with you but it doesn't matter because we're pretty damn good"

True, also with a smaller group of people by default you will get less of your run of the mill fan who isn't as informed.

Half the posts here are bitching about Godgers. There's way less substance here than over there. Far fewer perspectives. Many of the good posters from the Bucks board post on the Packers board, yes. But far less.

BF1&2 took about half the overall football insight this board had to offer with him when he was banned.

Why was he banned because i forget now what happened with him and don't recall him being overly confrontational when another poster had a differing opinion.

I believe his confrontations mostly took place on other boards.

Over half the posts on the Bucks board are just people pissing and moaning so I'm not sure that is a good comparison.

Congrats! I'm new to the boards, but from what I've seen between the two, there is quite a bit of overreaction about the smallest and minute things over on the Bucks board.

The Jabari Parker weight watchers thread cracks me up. I sometimes wonder, It's gotta be weird being a person that individuals are looking at your arm definition and complaining that you may not be working out enough. Personally I think the kid will be fine. And people complaining about fonts on jerseys. I can't even tell the difference.

That being said I do like that board, they both have something to offer, and I'm glad this board is being recognized! :D

Yeah, I happen to think the Bucks board is pretty awful. I come to RealGM to read and post on the Packers board... and if I am extremely bored at work and run out of things to read, I check out the Bucks board.

People forget that many of us post on several boards on realgm. Someone might be great on one board and a pain in the ass on another. That happens quite a bit.

I think the Bucks board is pretty solid considering how awful the team/franchise has been for so long. Hopefully with new ownership that board can enjoy talking about a winning team for a change.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

HowardMass is clearly trying to market the NFL forums by citing us as an example. We're the most active board on the NFL side BY FAR. In fact, I think if you added up every other forum (including the general forums) on the NFL side, they wouldn't match us post-wise. I wouldn't consider it a slight on the Bucks board.

FWIW, the Brewers also have the second most active MLB board and the Bucks have the 5th most active NBA Board.

Really, Wisconsin sports fans are the MVPs of the RealGM forums.
