So, who is this guy named Placeholder that Wes just drafted? Is this a sleeper I should've known about? ;)

So can the next guy go? Did Wes just put a card face down and it will pop up when someone selects the player it represents? Resulting in that player losing his pick! Draft definitely just got more interesting.

If someone wants "the obvious pick", I will entertain trade offers to trade out of the first round, or lower in the first round. Having two first round picks was key to my success last year - this year it could be you!

but insted of stalling the draft you could pick the "obviouse pick" for the "Love" of God and then trade the player
I think i m right here
otherwise it wouldnt be the OP

Take as much time as you like. Even more if it suits you.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Ugh...Wes, you have nothing to lose by having it go quicker. Nothing is going to change in the NBA, and you're not on a particularly tight schedule where you'll be absent from the draft for a few weeks. This whole "not being ready" for the draft to move this quickly is a little worn out and without much merit...

And Floppy sitting around waiting to pick for several days is equally unnerving. If you can't make a pick because you're not around, that's fine. But if you're just going to let the draft sit there because you feel like it, that's bad form. Even worse is letting the draft sit on hold for several days and then popping on to the forum to gauge the value of the pick in a trade...

No, I think you are wrong. You are trying to browbeat someone into pick faster than the rules stipulate in order to suit your desires.

He is playing by the rules. You are trying to force him to play outside the rules. Why should your desire for him to pick quickly outweigh his desire to pick in his own time?

Browbeat? Seriously. I don't think you know what that means. Here I'll enlighten you:

Browbeat: to use threats to make (someone) do or accept something

To pick early is not outside the rules, its no different than we've done for the last 10 years. I'm merely speaking of common courtesy.

Fact is the 25th is the start date. It is going to be slow until that point. Just stinks you are traveling but that is just how it is. I'd like to see it just get up and go since its started but whatever.

As for browbeat, Jazz is using it correctly but in fairness I would consider it a mild example.

Its a shame that Popeye Jones is retired because it would make this pick easy.
