It's the worst. Wilner never thinks he is wrong...ever.

tim still thinks pitcher wins are a very meaningful stat and sid is an obnoxious yarner. i'd take wilner's word over theirs anyday

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Together they're a pretty good representation of the average sports fan. They both play their role well and you feel like you can vent a bit as a fan when they're on. With Wilner, while he obviously knows more about baseball, he never once lets you have any reprieve from the positivity and as a fan it's intolerable.

Gouging your ears out is a more attractive option than taking either their words.

Wilner is still the worst though. THE WORST. Arrogant as ****, too. Like Doug Smith on a really bad day.

This.

Not sure what I dislike more. His arrogance or his 24/7 ass-kissing of Blue Jays management.

Yep. Say what you want about him being an apologist (it's his job and I don't blame him at all for wanting to keep it), but Wilner is the only one who talks any sense about baseball whenever he goes on their program.

Except Doug Smith literally knows nothing about the sport he covers. Amazing considering how long he's been on that beat.

I remember one post-game last season in which an old woman called in to say that "it's rather hard to win games when you don't score any runs," and Wilner replied with "Some would even say it's impossible."

I laughed hard.
