RealGM Raptors Board Poster of the Year Awards 2014

There's just no way I can make a top 10 for the first and second team. This board is one of the best things I've ever come across online. I remember when I stumbled on here from the raptors.com message boards last year and haven't left since. We have some of the smartest and most creative posters I've ever seen. There are literally hundreds of posts that have left me laughing in public and I hope it's even better next year. RAPS IN 4.

Not sure why someone has Dagger on the first team. He's posted less than usual over the past year and Undefeated has really stepped up with some serious basketball knowledge. Undefeated should be on the 1st team no doubt. Dagger is riding on his name and reputation and I mean no disrespect by that.

You see, that's what winning does. I have less reason to post 1000 times a day to make a case why it's a good thing to win, and a bad thing to lose. If we win a title some day, you can bet that I will hardly be posting at all, because I will be too busy dancing a hora down Yonge Street. Even then, I would expect some jackass to post that it was all a fluke, won't repeat, have no star, our best players are going to flee, ownership is cheap, and why don't we trade Jonas for the 45 year old Kobe.

Just caught this thread. Been extremely busy lately with clinics/training. But I really appreciate the love you guys showing. Honestly, without all the members of this board providing thought provoking arguments I wouldn't have been able to create some of the threads without you guys. I don't really agree that there are specific individuals that drives how active this board is in terms of content because every member here all provide different content that makes it a truly unique experience to be a member of.

As I've said in my the Raptors Offensive Playbook thread, I hope some of you guys will participate with me in collecting all the Raptors offensive plays this upcoming season. I know when I started off on RealGM as a sophomore in HS I had very little knowledge of the game, so I hope that what I'm doing will help some of the guys learn more about the game which is what the basketball community is all about; our love for the game and sharing knowledge. Hopefully with my thread I gave some of you guys a head start in identifying certain actions, plays or sets when you're watching games this off-season, so by the time the season comes you'll have a guideline of the details. Also, I know for sure I won't be able to collect all the plays myself and there's quite a few posters that I know have a wealth of knowledge for the game as well that I can learn from.

Although I hate to do this as it kinds of contradicts my initial statement, but aside from the members already mentioned (i.e. VVV, DH, Rhett, etc.), I wanted to give recognition to some members that I find enjoyable to read; timdunkit, JWiLL02, Anatomize, Clementine9, FluLikeSymptom, SkywalkerAC, Dalek, raptor jesus, Ari_Emanuel, Thespianoid, Reg00, Volcano, and others that I can't remember. They don't post often, but when they do they've always got some insightful thoughts that they offer. And really appreciate the work Hassassin has done providing highlights and news on Canada Basketball.

Legit MVP candidate and my most knowledgeable vote as well.

I'm not going to say anyone specifically, but I'd like to thank the community in general. A lot of people have spent a lot of time making this board what it is. And I, as a lurker, who doesn't provide nearly enough would like to thank all of those people.

edit: As screw it, I'll name some name. The usual suspects, Rhett, Double Helix, Undefeated, Turbozone, Dagger (even though I disagree with him from time to time). There are definitely more...people I find myself agreeing with more times than not.

Great site that I tripped over in 2006, never leaving. Lots of great posters, some have come and gone. Problem with these awards, its out of site out of mind. Some poster are not around right now, but will be back in around November.

Shout outs to Rhett for keeping this place reasonable, and picking up the trash Ozz use to, DH for some of the most in depth posts you will ever read, Dagger for always being a voice of truth, most times, Turbo for all the hard work you share with us, EastCoastRapsFan for always saying what I think most times and there are many more......

For best Mod I have to toss my vote to every other Mod on the board;

The amount of merging, locking, banning, suspending, dealing with spammers and all the other crappy stuff that has needed to be done everyday especially in the midst of the tanknation madness was no small task;
